No, Damian kernel does not disable HD but I've weird issue with his kernel. I can't make Video Call. The phone will freeze for a second and reboot. Either call out or in. Can you try that see if your phone does not have this issue?

He did come out with another test kernel with 34+ RAM but I did not test it out yet coz already flashed SOK.

I have tried video call using Fring a few times. It works. You mean 3G video call? Nop, I haven't tried before.

I feel very laggy in SweetHoney 2.5 after first boot. Anyone got the same experience?

Opening of apps is slower too and a few sec of black screen is back. hmm.gif This makes me miss my SweetHoney 2.4.1

Wipe Dalvik cache in clockwork mod recovery. Some times it can eliminate lags.

Just flag to SweetHoney 2.5. After I let the phone idle and do my thing. I can not turn on the phone!! Then I have to unplug the battery before I can power it back. Application loading take longer time, really miss my Insanity rom. Maybe flash back later. Any comment?
*
Been reboot 2 more times. Now is better. No lag seen. No lag fix.

Btw, dalvik cache is wiped during flashing period. So I didn't wipe again. Maybe it will helps, not sure. Will wipe it if lag returns..

if your phone suffers from dead sleep again, then it's kernel related..

using ext2 all + loops.. i didn enable the ext4 before, but ext2 is smoother than rfs =.=
*
Ok. Think I ll try ext2. It is been a long time since the OCLF days...

My phone stuck at boot animation on third reboot... Pull batt, and reboot also stuck at boot animation.
Still can go into recovery mode.

Kernel related?

hmm.. i don't recall having that prob with damian's kernel

try speedmod?
*
Yea.

Will try to flash speedmod if nothing works to boot... Fyi, I didn't do any settings change before this... Maybe I flashed a non-wipe version... But I was coming from 2.4.1, so a non wipe should be fine I guess..

Updates: Still stuck at boot animation forever after flash to speedmod. Finally did a factory reset, and now can boot..

Luckily I got backup my data before flashing SweetHoney 2.5.. sweat.gif sweat.gif

I think the non-wipe version is unstable.

perhaps you have corrupted files before this. did you enable lagfix before flashing to 2.5? if i'm not wrong on 2.4.1, you're using speedmod? in case you did not disable, you're most likely having corrupted file system..
*
I did not use any lagfix in 2.4.1. Only tweaks. But I did disabled all tweaks before I flashed to 2.5.

So far you have problem with 2.5+Damian kernel?

i used the sgs tools, upgrade stock apps, hacked camera.apk

now whenever i want to switch to video mode, it said "camera fail"....

what can i do?
*
You can restore stock camera using SGS Tools. Maybe the hacked camera.apk doesn't work for your ROM.

Why you cannot get into Recovery Mode? Should be working if your Download mode is working. No?

Hey guys. Anyone venture into SamsungApps lately will notice an update to samsungapps itself. Upon updates, you'll notice a new UI and at the top, under the tabs, you'll notice a banner saying "Android Samsung Apps Open".

There is not much apps inside right now, but I do believe Samsung is opening up its own app store, something like what Amazon is doing.

$1500 to $1700 probably if you sell it by yourself. Sell it to shops will be lower still. What do you think?

any idea how to solve the battery consumption problem ? 3am i still have 45%. i wake up on 12pm left 30%. i did killed all the backgound apps and has about 160MB.
*
Switch off data. It helps alot. My phone can stay 15 to 16 hours under minimal usage with 5% batt consumption only.

okay.. do u have any widgets ?? i have the weather widgets and task manager. wondering is it this kind of widgets drinks all the juice during night time..
*
Of course. But if you turn data off, these widgets cannot drink your batt juice anymore by updating in the background. If you do requires your data then you can still set the updating widgets into longer intervals.

Normally these are my settings:

Weather 4 hours update interval
Facebook 6 hours update interval
Twitter 2 hours update interval
Emails (Yahoo, Gmail, Office) Push updating & download

If I don't off my data, the batt statistic I get is around what you get (roughly). If I want my batt to last longer, then I just off my data.

JS7 browser is very smooth even when viewing full desktop version webpages (Flash based websites as well, for eg http://www.worldinvasionbattlela.net).

I thought JS5 was smooth. JS7 is markly smoother still. thumbup.gif
