Short review of Sweethoney 2.4 ROM: (I install the WIPE version)

UI: Sleek. But overall the colour mix and match still I prefer the Darkyy scheme.

Speed: Snappy I would say. Can really feel JS5 improvement over JPY. Everything loads and opens faster. For eg. task manager>application, can scroll straight away without jerk even though it is still loading.

Bootanimation: Some thing new and better IMO.

Bugs: Other than the gallery bug (already replaced), I don't encounter others yet..  Feel less bugs than Darkyy overall.

Icons: Acceptable to me.

Battery life: No comment yet. Haven't been thoroughly tested but so far nothing significant to report. Seems normal.

Browsing Internet: Good. Fast and smooth with JS5 browser even during loading stage. Miren is faster too here compare when was in Darkyy. Not sure why.

GPS: Incredibly fast lock up. Can even lock satellites inside my bathroom. (Not able to do that last time in Darkyy)

Current settings: 10 pages in appdrawer. 7 homescreens full of shortcuts n widgets. Auto-syncing on with gmail, facebook n whatsapp. Background data on, Location on, 3G n HSDPA on. NoLED on using Accessibility. WIFI on and never off even after leaving WIFI zone. All recommended tweaks in speedmod are enabled. RFS all.


Based on initial observation, I think this ROM can last me till a stable Gingerbread comes.

Darky's latest rom has Wifi bug, lots of people experienced that

also, happened to find this [MOD] Fugu Tweaks adds responsiveness to ur phone. app_process and system_server binaries are replaced by the one found in 2.3.2

P/S: looks like these are identical to the files in Doc's JS7 too

LOOKS LIKE MIUI ROM IS NOT DEAD YET!!

Last week, I just update to froyo using kies. Just 10 minutes than i got froyo without any data and app deleted.

But i feel lagging sometimes. Then try rooting using z4root and fix lagging. My false maybe, coz i choose temporary root, unroot after reboot. After reboot, my phone can't be start. Then i try install 3 combo buttons using adb. But the phone just like hanging without any progress after 2 minutes. The guide said, it just 3 seconds installation. So, i do pull out the battery and reboot the phone. Yeayy.. My phone bricked!

Then, i go to restore at customer service. They install froyo, but it not same like the update from samsung kies. No lagging problem like before.

i have tried to install apndroid, however seem dont work for me, it still remain the same eventhough i click for it..

I feel very laggy in SweetHoney 2.5 after first boot. Anyone got the same experience?

Opening of apps is slower too and a few sec of black screen is back.  This makes me miss my SweetHoney 2.4.1

how to check 3-button combo ?

I just flashed SweetHoney 2.5 ROM.

But now in market, my apps list only show 5 apps.
Actually I got almost 100++ apps.

Anyone know why?   

I cant recall back, what is the app that can send files in SGS to pc through wireless har ?

actually.. im only interested with call recording.. with "rec" button during call session..

So, i need to get another theme, e.g. Simply 2.5 theme to solve the known issue ?
How is the battery life ? Im planning to flash to Simply 2.6 tonight, would like to hear more feedback about it~

I already use the MIUI Rom, it quite good but i not recommend for everyday use. Bear in mind that the base of MIUI come from the cyanogen mode,
so all problem from cyanogenmod 7 also carry on this ROM. 

If you can live with:-
short battery life,
unstable 3G(lock & unlock phone can fix it),
difficult to download from android market and browser(seriously, i only can download something 2 times out of 10 trial, restart sometimes help),
no music & pic gallery( poweramp & quickpic can be alternative),
not all game work( most game i install will close by itself, only 4 out of 15 works),
accelerometer not work(it actually work at first but after you enter a game with accelerometer it will not work, restart fix it back),
cannot save the contact in the phone,
call will drop,
no fm radio,
no front facing camera,
camera lack of feature,
can't play avi, divx, mkv by default(moboplayer maybe can)
sometime can become sluggish, don't know why
all the benefit come from samsung will obviously gone,
(hardware accelerator for internet, slide to call/msg,music FLAC file, 5.1 surrounding sound, divx, bla2.., you get the idea)

that's all i ever encounter so far. I actually love this rom, it actually really fast, maybe
after they sort all the problems, i will dump the samsung rom. The feel of use this ROM
totally different from original android, it introduce a lot of feature inside the ROM

If you don't know basic about flash using odin( i know almost of you use clockworkmod recovery),
don't try it or you will in the big trouble if you want to recover back your original rom( especially
without the 3 button recovery/download should avoid do this). For some reason, my phone cannot
start when want to downgrade back to froyo, keep vibrating, end up to semi brick my phone. I need
to start all back from stock 2.1 to 2.2.1, really a long day to get my phone functioning back. 
Actually this ROM quite stable for the beta, hope codeworkx and the team can eliminate all the bugs
inside the cyanogenmod 7. This is far the best ROM(without all the bugs mention before) i have tried
