Darky 9.2

Actually, has anyone setup a fight between Darky and Doc (Bright side...so called) before?
*
oo.. it is known that you can't change the lock screen wallpaper on custom rom like darky's.. have you tried the aosp wallpaper or something similar option on darky configurator if i'm not mistaken?

Is there any one has tried darky and Doc's ROM.
Mind sharing opinion on both pro and cons?

Thanks, Fornaxlife.
Nope. I'm on darky ROM. But I don't even know how to tweak my SGS to the max performance.
Hehe....... I just used it out of the box only.
*
i feel darky's smoother a bit at times, but still prefer doc's since can remove unwanted base apps and pick anything i want in the kitchen smile.gif

It not only looks pretty, but really fast and smooth too. I finally got a properly working  gingerbread keyboard with haptic feedback with this rom. I've raised few points about the rom in his thread but the rom maker seems to ignore me sad.gif
*
oklah moving to simply galaxy rom already. tak boleh tahan all puji so much sweat.gif

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so people say. I am sticking with Simply Galaxy aka SweetHoney for now, even flashed the Gingerbread modem package (JVE) onto it (SweetHoney comes with JPE modem, I believe). Happy for now, until I order my 2700mAh batt, then I should be happier.. smile.gif
*
yup true smile.gif

simply galaxy is the smoothest rom i have tried.. scrollling through the appdrawer is so damn oomph laugh.gif

any bad comment?

no probs so far. i like darky's 9.3 compared to 9.2 smile.gif
QUOTE(Cyclone1 @ Mar 3 2011, 05:34 PM)
Anyone can advise this ar??? I wish to flash tonight after work...
*
hmm, i did flash from simply galaxy rom to darky's and failed

so, i flashed to fresh stock rom xwjs5 -> base darky's odin rom 9.2 -> disabled voodoo lagfix which was enabled by default on darky's 9.2 -> flash to darky's 9.3 cwm after configurating the settings in darky configurator

working fine with no probs!

i flashed from 9.2 to 9.3 as i was scared that i will get the missing market app again smile.gif

failed means the phone is unable to boot?
*
stucked at 'failure:14 something' error when flashing which is common.

be warned that ext2 has no journal like ext4. If your phone suddenly hangs and you pull out the battery, you will get data loss. However, damiangto claims his kernel users do not experience such problem.

About oc/uv. Is it stable for long period of time? What is your undervolt settings?
*
data loss is prominent if i don't switch off my phone properly. sure to have corrupted files in lost.dir if it happens lol unless i'm lucky enough not to get it O.O

pretty stable. froze once when choosing wallpaper smile.gif used for a day already

1200 MHZ : 25 UV
1000 MHZ : 50 UV
800 MHZ : 75 UV
400 MHZ : 75 UV
200 MHZ : 75 UV
100 MHZ : 125 UV
