 playing videos on lcd screen from laptop, help.

I can't seem to find a thread about this. so i opening this thread to answer this question.

ps. if there is one, mod, pls combine it. thanks.

so yeah here's my situation. My laptop has a blu ray driver and i have a LCD screen in my living room. also i have an hdmi cable. you guessed it. i connected the laptop to the lcd screen with the hdmi cable and slotted in a blu ray disc (batman begins). The screen appears fine, there is images coming out and playing quite well except there isn't any audio coming out from the LCD screen. how do i fix this?

sound properties, change it to hdmi audio...

chech ur audio input in ctrl panel set it to hdmi audio as output. but rmmbr, ur laptop audio will no longer work. u need to do viceversa with the settings.

So, how's the result.. is it ok now? hows the video quality?
IMO, for frequent playback, media player will be more convenience than laptop..

it is not always the case, laptop come with BD drive doesn't mean it come with good GPU, unless your laptop cost you more than RM4k and above then i would say it is good tongue.gif

My RM1799 lappy can be part-time HTPC... with 1GB ATi HD6470M & HDMI. No need RM4k kua...
