You don't buy gold for short term. You go for long term with gold.

QUOTE(chengcheng @ Jul 26 2011, 01:21 PM) I am new... Almost bought something from Poh Kong last weekend. It was RM 183/gram.It 999 gold. Where to buy cheaper gold for investment? Read in a book that we will need to buy and sell at same place. Is that true? Please help!! Buy from the bank. That the best. Nothing to worry. You can buy using their Gold Investment or Savings account. Alternatively, you could get the gold coins

buying gold from goldsmith will need to be higher as there will be additional charges for workmanship. When you sell, will also lose again. All in all, will lose

QUOTE(kelvinyam @ Jul 27 2011, 05:09 PM) You can change the amount into physical gold. You just need to cash out into RM, and buy Maybank's Kijang Emas. Of course the Kijang Emas is more expensive than the COMEX price because you will be charged the labor cost of making the gold coins. A bit curious. Are these referring to the Kijang gold coin as well? It seems quite difficult to buy the gold coins as you have to wait for availability.

If you don't buy now, it will reach even higher later. By that time, you will say that it is out of your reach

QUOTE(lee90 @ Aug 12 2011, 02:04 PM) Hmm.. although it dropped 2day but I think it will still increase in the next few weeks. am I right? I got a question here: 1. I wanted to open a gold investment account in UOB but then all my money is inside Maybank account. so, How do i transfer the money to UOB? Thanks 1. Withdraw all your money from Maybank in cash and walk over to UOB bank. 2. Ask Maybank to issue a banker cheque in your name and the go to UOB bank. As simple as that.
