QUOTE(FrancescoTop8 @ May 25 2011, 11:37 PM) Its my right to view world based on my preference. i think 'greed' word suits us human; not as in greedy greed, but greed as in wanting beyond our needs. that's why we value them. If we don't greed hard enough, the gold's value will not be where it is today. If u agreed with Charles Darwin that u were descended from ape, it`s ur right either. & If u study human psyche to manipulate & spin human mindset by introducing new theory (e.g; self-preservation is greed), go ahead. In Islamic world, we believe gold & silver is God given currency. It was mentioned heavily in holy Koran. A lot of average Joe & Jane buy gold for many factors such as tradition(marriage & newborn), religious & heritage. Thus, by saying everyone who bought gold are greedy, u are wrong, i mean very wrong. Greed is a bad behaviour. Self-preservation is a noble behaviour. Please don`t insult or spin word to the lowest extent or for ur own product`s sake. Added on May 25, 2011, 10:51 pm KFH offer physical gold from Turkey with storage option. KFH, maybank, UOB are offering physical gold! I don't know about the pricing but the gold offered by KFH is less is purity (99.5%) and maybank being the highest. http://www.horlic.com/comparison-between-5...hoose-the-best/ p/s: Where to buy 2 or 5 Kelantan Dinar? These things surely hard to find. |

Hi, I want to know whether the official 2 or 5 dinar Kelantan come with a cert of authenticity or something like that and how the packaging looks like. I am thinking of grabbing one but worried with counterfeits.

QUOTE(GoldChan @ May 27 2011, 11:56 PM) certificate can be printed. hey GoldChan thanks for the head up. It's been a while since we speak.Best bullion product, U must know the main source. Silver eagle :- US Mint, silver panda :- China Mint, silver kook :- Perth Mint. then easy to identify whose fault is it. So far other than Silver Panda and some silver lunar perth Mint got fake. most of the fake are easily identifiable . The rest I never heard of any fake. For gold there are some copy coin for eagle, buffalo, panda. Most famous fake is Krugerand. Thus weighing scale is important. so do U know the source of kelantan dinar, who minting it etc.? In case got fraud or fake, who to contact. SO many dinar, I lost track of them. Since I don;t have any dinar I leave it to Muslimi Musliman to find it out lah. many people make use of the name of god or religion to make $$$. e.g. Buddhist monk in SG own many properties in AUStralia until get arrested. So when people mention religion then sell U a product, just be a bit more cautious lah. Added on May 27, 2011, 11:03 pm one way to check for counterfeiting is same way learnt from paper currency. U have serial no in each gold bar, but it is not all in sequence. Only the producer know which serial no is valid. however U need a long serial no lah. This helps to some extend only. Serial no is only for big bars, because it is a one by one process. each must be a different number. Slow process and manufacturing it for small bar may be cost the product to be slightly more expensive. another way is to track the transaction, the moment there is such buying and selling of such bar, the serial no is recorded. If 2 same serial no is recorded, then alarm. who can provide such system and people don;t want U to track their assets. I do agree with you on how people make money out of religion/god. Like Kelantan Dinar for example, they are already being sold at a premium price, then going from DMCC Dubai to KGT (Kelantan Gold Trades) then passed down to the dealers like Nubex really put them at a very very expensive price per se. And lately I have fallen in love with Silver Panda's coins, the numismatic value really adds up to the price. 2010 alone price is already $5 costlier than the new 2011 release at the same grade. The counterfeits could be so worrisome to newbies like me. |

QUOTE(benedict1213 @ May 28 2011, 01:18 PM) the best thing would be if Malaysia ever has its own minting company, so we can get bullions at a closer to spot price!QUOTE(GoldChan @ May 29 2011, 12:58 AM) I know what you meant. Well I might start collecting at 2011 and hope the world will last up to 2040+ for me There are sites that these gentlemen passed on here that sell gold and silver close to spot price. And thanks for the advices, those would be the fundamentals of my investment! |
