Yes. They are 995.
KFH in process to replace their 995 to 999.
Their customer should get the free survey sms that asking either they interested to replace the old 995 to 999.

In Turkey & Arabs, 995 are common but not in Malaysia.
Since KFH want to have bigger pie in gold investment, they have to capture the norms of Malaysian.

Basicly, not much differences between 995 and 999.
They were almost in the same ballpark.
Just slight differences in percentage of purity & price.

If i'm not mistaken their common jewellery also different, ours using 916 while saudi using 850.

Dear Valued Customer,

With effect from 16 May 2011, Gold Savings Passbook Account (GSPA) has been renamed as Maybank Gold Investment Account (MGIA). In line with MGIA's enhanced features, existing GSPA accountholders who wish to withdraw from their account in a form of gold wafer may do so, subject to availability as per Clause 16.2 of the GSPA Agreement with a premium charge applicable. Accountholders have until 2 September 2011 to withdraw in the form of wafers, after which the available options of payment will only be in the form of cash or credit into their accounts.

For GSPA accountholders who are holding Maybank gold wafers, you may convert the gold wafers to cash or credit them to your account at the prevailing market price at selected Maybank branches from now till 2 September 2011. The selected Maybank branches are listed below:

Hi whizzkid, thanks for your reply, however if you read my previous comment before (yesterday)..
Yes, i saw on the left of the web. the price for gold. yes correct. however my questions are

1. Is this a price for spot gold or the price for KFH physical gold waffer (995 purity)?
2. Do they have a price list like UOB/maybank, that state how much d price for each waffer bar they have? For example, maybank show price list for 1oz, 1/2oz and 1/4oz and their prices respectively. does KFH have such info? i believe on the left bar side of KFH website is the spot price for gold. which is not what im looking for [The price list of their gold product]

thanks

Currency Buy Sell
MYR /gram 155.5000 (Buy) 162.5600(Sell)

1. I think that is the KFH physical gold, not spot price. Today's spot price is lower than that.

2. I'm not sure about that. Maybe their price per gram is same for all weights, that's why only 1 price stated at the web.
For instance, 10g =RM1625.60 (RM162.56/gram) , 100g = Rm16,256 (RM162.56/gram). It's just my thought.. biggrin.gif
For exact information, better u call KFH directly.. tongue.gif

Hahah thanks. Yeah i think d same..but to offer same price for all d grams...is not attractive offer right? hehe. yeah i think ill go for kijang emas instead. =D

For me, it's interactive because its offer same price & same spread for all weights. It will not burden for those u have low or higher budget. There's no different buying 1g to 100g.. normally, lower weight will have higher price and higher spread. By having same price & spread for all weights, it can attract more people to buy.

Btw, that's just my 2 cents opinion biggrin.gif

My recommendation, don't go to gold shop to sell ur gold since they will consider it as used gold and buy it at below spot price which is very2 low.

Better u open a thread in FB and sell to normal customer..

The spread should be calculated in %, not RM..

If u calculate in RM, sure it will be increasing once the selling price increase... If u calculate in %, sure the spread will be maintain..
