IPOH: Police made a gruesome discovery when they found the severed limbs and torso of a naked man in Batu Lapan, Chemor, here.
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Azisman Alias said the chopped up body parts were found in two bags at separate spots by a bridge yesterday.
ACP Azisman said a passer-by stumbled upon the first bag containing the arms and legs at about 3.30pm. "The bag was found partly submerged in a shallow stream," he said.
Policemen found the second bag with the torso about 20m away at about 4pm, he added.
"The head of the man is still missing," ACP Azisman said yesterday.
He added that the body was believed to be that of a foreigner.
He also said that the man was believed to have been murdered elsewhere.
ACP Azisman said the case had been classified as murder and the body parts had been sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital.
