Now I am a happy shavette user. Much smoother than my cheap DE razor.

Are you going to upgrade to a straight razor?
I'm getting the Chinese ZY 430 razor off the bay as soon as the black one is back in stock in a couple of weeks.
Seems to be getting okay reviews and can be honed. Cheap too. biggrin.gif

Not likely. Unless someone can convince me what advantages does a straight razor have over a shavette, other than bragging rights.

I see. I suppose I see it as a natural progression.
And it sure beats shaving with my para mil 2 when I realize I'm out of blades which has happened a few times in the past.

Just bought an Arko soap...I believe some Giant and Cold Storage outlets has them.
Got mine at Cold Storage Jaya One. The smell reminds me of washing detergent, lemony and zesty.

where do u buy the brush?

Got my brush online...didn't bother looking for one locally since it should last me a long time unlike consumables like soap and blades...

yeah agreed ... i guess is the washing of the blades after the shave & not drying the blade after washing that makes the blade goes blunt & hence the razor burns  wink.gif
*
For me, razor burn occurs when I go over the same spot over and over and over.
Doesn't matter if the blade is sharp, blunt, cheap, expensive.

Previously,
If a blade was blunt, I would naturally go over the same spot numerous times to get a smoother shave resulting in razor burns.

Now,
If a blade is blunt and I don't have a replacement, I just go WTG once or twice and stop. Obviously not a close shave but no razor burns.

This seller on muda.my seems to have quality de shavers... price wise is reasonable...but not for the vintage stuff like Fat boy...

Not really, he's probably getting it from the UK as well and adding his ~30% cut.
Got mine straight from the UK in 9 days.

The vintage Gillettes are marked up way way too much imo...

Any good after shave lotion or cream ?
Still getting a few nicks from DE
*
I got the Nivea Mens Post Shave Balm to try. It's more like a moisturizer lotion than say an alcohol based after shave that is refreshing and stings if you have nicks.
Thinking of getting the Old Spice After Shave and/or Thayers Astringent to try...

I have plenty of unused shaving creams and 1 Tabac hard soap refill. Anyone interested to take them off me? PM me to offer smile.gif.
Sigh. I just got like a whole box of Arkos...
And I have other creams too to spice things up once in a while.

May I know where to buy the arko stick in Malaysia?
*
I don't think the Arko soap sticks are available in Malaysia.
But you can get the ones in the container (same soap different format) in Giant and Cold Storage.

I got mine off the bay. Arrived in 2 weeks from Turkey...

Edisson? Haven't heard many people mention that blade as a favorite.
I suppose its very true that YMMV when it comes to blades...
