i cant understand at all with these oc
can someone help me? i just assemble my new rig which is as below Q9400 DFI LT X48 TR2 DDR2 667 my cpu clock only detected as 2.0Ghz why? and , did my proc support till x8 mulltiplier? IM NOOB |

btw, for my rig.. should i upgrade my current ram to high performance ram? what would you suggest? i mean which one, i need 4GB for my work\ thanks in advance |

oh no, i just bought OCZ OCZ2RPR10662GK DDR2 1066Mhz PC2-8500 Reaper 2GB Dual Channel (2 X 1GB) 5-5-5-15 two set

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Nov 30 2008, 11:05 PM) nice mobo.. thanks bro, but im newbie thats the problem lolbut definitely not for newbie... use www.clunk.org for help on dfi mobo's ure going to need it for skew adjustment and use www.anandtech.com review for the mobo for clocking he use'd if i am not mistaken 4x1gb cellshocks pc2-1000 for 1200mhz CL5 tRD 8 at 500fsb hehehe i did 1200mhz CL5 tRD 7  .. its somewhere here in lyn for the settings.. at 500fsb with lower vtt at 1.2v but higher vnb than him.has to do a lot of skew adjustments. and the new bios with the mch drive strength was the key. and having a dmm to measure the gtl values was also crucial.. if ure serious about this board get a digital multi meter. measure the voltages for the gtl and clock accordingly.. cons for this board was.. still pissed until today was couldnt use my Asus HD3870x2 ROG which was one of the first one that was sold in the world that time.. only gamed with that gc for like 1 week on the maximus before i changed to the dfi... pissed man .. super pissed. the issue was dfi backward compaitability with pcie 2.0 every other manufactorer out there sets the bios at pcie 1.1 and then when the card is put in it goes to pcie 2.0 dfi starts with pcie 1.0a. so a lot of the ati pcie 2.0 cards had issue.. the after market pcb;s ones... kaiserfalco's sapphire hd3870x2 also had a issue i think. i logged to www.clunk.org and it seem the website its not about overclocking or computer related i think maybe the website u mentioned changed their address, oh im reading right now and watching the movie, thanks for the link bro! but one problem, im using Q9400, not E8500 and with stock cooler some more bro, cant seem to find your post for the settings! can you please remember or find those screenshot lol wah, the new bios still doesnt fix the problem? and, CF really worth it? someone in LYN said that CF only worked with some games, not all the games, is it true? again, thanks for the info, i'll get the digital multi meter and i'll need your help again haha |
