Intel board no good for oc.Bios no oc option, only can use setfsb to oc.Not too bad, manage to get a E6550 on Intel G33 to 420x7,22hours occt stable.

budget ah nt really? bt i seriously canot find the option to change the cpu speed or anything like tat...
*
Use window to oc.Setfsb is a good place to start.

hi guy....which 1 give more accurate temp readg, core temp or cpu right mark?i hav this problm at high temp.somtimes it gives 3degree different readg.smile.gif
*
Try real temp, need to calibrate through. As long as the DTS is not faulty,is is very accurate. brows.gif

IS CPUZ voltage reading trustable?I set 1.425 in bios and only 1.24 under load in CPUZ.My temp when load is 74 C,1.425V and Freezer 7 Pro which is along the line of what i except for 1.425v.

basically, wut is the max vcore sggested??
*
Depend on 45nm or 65nm.45nm is 1.4v and 65nm is 1.55v,the vcore i mean is for 24/7 usage icon_idea.gif

nah dude thats cause of intel stock cooler thermal paste..

I am actually using some generic paste but that is the limitation of Artic cooler with that tiny flow fan sweat.gif Now using Xigmatek already icon_rolleyes.gif

read again ..

thermal paste response not for u
its the voltage for air cooling..

It is actually 1.24v due to old bios sweat.gif Now updated and now is doing 1.37V set(Drop to 1.34V) 4ghz 24/7 laugh.gif

A question here. How should i know the voltage needed to add to cpu voltage when overclock? And how much should i add to overclock E8400 from 3GHz to 4GHz?
*
You need to add voltage when your system start to get unstable.
Here is some setting that should work:
500x8
1:1 divider
1.35vcore(Less or more, try yourself as it differ from chip)
1.33vmch
1.9~2vdimm(5-5-5-12)
And test stability using orthos.Just change the vcore to the lowest that will pass orthos in this setting:Custom,Priority 8,Large FFT=6144,FFT in place for 30minutes first until you can get the lowest vcore then do it for 12hours.
Good luck brows.gif

is.... what is actually means by unstable ? is that means the pc wont boot up or what?

and i got very very little knowledge on OC RAM... just wonder, is 5-5-5-12 compare to 4-4-4-12 is a big diff?
*
Unstable could be a lot of thing.Could be cannot post, but most of the time is the rig start to act up.Sudden program crash or something like that is the sign of instability.
For daily use, timing difference is minimum. The difference only show in certain benchmark laugh.gif For daily, better to use low vdimm and looser timing icon_rolleyes.gif
One more thing,4GB kit cannot do 1000 C4 sweat.gif It does however can do 11xx C5 so c5 is what you should use on your ram.

Could be your ram holding you back
