Like what I sad. Kops are going to win.
Shame on Nani. Given by his talent and his role in the team act like a baby. I don't even think is a serious injury. He wanted Gerard to get red thats all. Shame on him. Unbeaten in the league? Think again before you said. |

Remember the harder they laughed, karma will hit them painfully. Now, I wouldn't depend on Man Utd drop points.
The team must win all the remaining games to win the cup or else I am still ok. Anyway I am happy with the team this season's challenge |

QUOTE(sigheart @ Mar 7 2011, 12:49 PM) Yeap, agree, for all his theatrics and for being a Manc I still wish him well. To lose a player of his ability permanently would be a loss to football itself. I don't really agree. Playing against players like Nani, marking is not enough. Play rough is the only way to stop them and unfortunatly accidents do occur. I still don't think is a serious injury. What he done yesterday was a shame and simply unnecessary. Matter got worse when rises to the refree. Given his usual acting skill in every match, I can see that the refree do not believe him though he was injured. Anyway I do think that he might become the big player to man utd. He had been consistent this season seein him scored and assist a lot goalIt was a really horrible challenge from Carra and deserved a red. Nani was going nowhere at the time and there was a slight hint of malice that came with the tackle. I feel its perfectly normal for Nani to feel upset as these are potentially leg breaking, career ending tackles. Many are saying Carra's tackle was evened out by Rafael's challenge but lets be realistic here, if Carra had been rightfully punished the tackle from Rafael might not even have happened which was clearly from frustration. I don't know but I feel this Nani play-acting fiasco has been blown out of proportion and probably his theatrics have overshadowed the severity of Carra's challenge which is a total shame. Tackles like these has no place in football. For those who found it funny, just take a step back and put yourself in Nani's shoes. Your whole career could have been gone in those 2 seconds. How would you feel about that? Anyway enough about that! Back to serious business, Barca next. Fingers crossed, Song and Fab will be fit. Just read Puyol defo out of the 2nd leg as well and Pep might be forced to play Abidal and Busquets as CBs. Pity RVP wouldn't be available or he would be licking his lips at this makeshift CB pairing. |

QUOTE(JoyLee1055 @ Mar 7 2011, 04:22 PM) still can't forgive him for purposely kicking the ball to clichy's hand n He was wearing his shin pad. Regardless of the rivalry, we should respect our rival. Teasing each other do not benefits us but only make things worse. I am just giving comments standing at the neutral line not as an arsenal fans. Anyway I do hope him a speedy recovery for a healthy title runthen claimed it was a hand ball. But I'm wandering why is he not wearing his shin pad? Anyway yea wish him speedy recovery! |

Anybody here op for Arshavin-Jack-Nasri-Cesc-Eboue combination instead of playing Denilson and Diaby?

QUOTE(sigheart @ Mar 7 2011, 07:39 PM) So if Nani's leg was broken only will you acknowledge it was a bad tackle? This is not the first day we watched EPL. Flying tackles and dangerous tackles are the English style of football. Until today, I still cannot accept Eduardo,Ramsey and Diaby injury. It was disturbing and costs us the whole campaign but I believe that those players that made the tackles never meant to break their leg but to scare them from playing fancy football. Injuries do happened accidentally.Just because it wasn't a serious injury to Nani doesn't take away the fact that it was a dangerous tackle. Well I guess you are fine then with Ramsey's and Eduardo's broken legs. After all they are just "accidents". I guess you are fine too if tackles like these cause any more leg breaks to our players. As for Nani, its the same. Can you see any player can 100% contain players like Ronaldo or even Nani (For example) by marking? The opposition have to take necessary tactics to win their games. (For example again, Arsenal vs Sunderland) |

QUOTE(sigheart @ Mar 7 2011, 08:19 PM) And why is it you cannot accept Eduardo, Ramsey and Diaby's injury but you can accept Nani's injury? Just because it wasn't a serious one or just because it didn't happen to an Arsenal player? After all, all tackles were of the same nature, studs up, flying in with legs above ball level. I am just emphasizing the traditional style of English football. The reason that I can accept Nani's injury is because I personally think that is not a serious injury (the news is not released yet) by observing the player's usual attitude and so far the photo circulating might not be genuine. Just remove your Arsenal rose tinted glasses for a moment please. Yes, I admit there are a number of flying tackles and dangerous ones week in week out. But just because it happens doesn't mean it is widely accepted and should be left alone. I also feel the same about the players not having any intent about breaking a fellow player's legs. But these leg breaks could have been avoided had they been a little clear headed and not go in dangerously in the first place. Let me give you a real life scenario. A hunter polishes his loaded rifle in his bedroom and his wife walks in and suddenly the gun goes off and kills his wife. Did he mean to kill his wife? I don't think so. It could have been avoided had the hunter been more sensible to clean his loaded rifle in a safer place or unload his rifle first before polishing it. Again some may argue that in the heat of the moment its difficult to control and be clear headed, which is where harsher punishment comes in to remind them of their rashness. Anyway this would be last post and I'm not gonna comment further on this. Its just disheartening and sad to read that bolded part that BPL footie fans' mentality and perception of the game is going towards that direction. To think I'd see teams encouraged to do tackles like these just because they aren't able to "cope" with certain players. If this is the case and everyone adopts this sort of thinking 5 - 10 years down the line we will have 20 Stoke Cities in the BPL with no more Van Persies, the Ronaldos, the Nanis plying their trade in the BPL for the fear of their own legs and careers. Players like Van Persie cannot achieve the best player in the league/world is because he got injured almost every season mostly in the crucial period of the league. I believe he was not given sufficient match every season to prove his worth. Ronaldo manage to proved himself because he is physically very very strong and very fit ( who can deny that?) I believe everyone here agreed that Wenger arrival to the team had revolutionalize the league by introducing the style of his football. His style of football was a success because most the teams are playing the conventional English style of football at that time. But as time goes on, the opposition increased their level of aggression to cope with the team. I would say it was a success. Until today, I still cannot see our team can beat those physical team smoothly or easily. Remind me if I am wrong. Compare number of the injury cases (serious as in broken leg from tackles) between 2000-2005-2011. (That is when I started watching football) |

Arsenal keep Barca guessing Van Persie injury
I still don't think Arsene will start Robin given his injury status unless Arsene fakes Robin's injury |
