Ive tried uniqlo slevedge jeans. And im sorry yo say i am not really impress at the uniqlo jeans. They were mixed with 2% spendex, which made i stretchable, not i fond of. 2ndly, they are freaking thin than my other jeans, be it levis or guess but they stiff than the said label.

Ive went to MUSA and frankly i love the naked and famous denim than the uniqlo as the reason above. The elephant selvdge caught my eyes and trying to save some money to make it mine. Or maybe the 21oz sammies. Lol!
*
did the same thing and agreed on what you said, just like another pair of raw selvedge denim from designer brand, thin and stretchy. nothing really special about it except for the cheap price.. i remember there's another baggy (imo) straight cut 100% cotton selvedge in store, not impressed by both though.. rivet used felt worst than the one from topman's raw..

tried out n&f few weeks ago, quite impressed by the heavier denim, but will never buy it for the price in MUSA.

I honestly think Topman's just in for a share of this market. Like, just hopping in purely for the $$. I... don't see the difference between their selvedge jeans and their normal jeans at all.
*
i mean the rivet being used is better than uniqlo's raw, nothing else..

wait... unsanforized ones arent supposed to stretch? sez who.
*
every jeans will stretch, including the unsanforized one or washed.. just that it wont stretch as much as sanforized denim..

I would never trade hygiene and personal comfort for a somewhat higher contrast fade effect that has only higher order effects unnoticeable to most.

Fit, always a first order effect, will do for me.

this is why your 501's fades does not show much characteristic, just plain/simple fading that can be found in most of other washed jeans..

still i think it fade nicely...
about the characteristic part, i do see some whiskers and some wear and tear at the front and back pocket....

eventhou its not much as most of us like it... i do really like the way it turns out....
*
different people different opinion i guess.. it's just plain simple like any pair jeans from a levis shop imo..

Oh man....  Thin Fin is not your fit.  shakehead.gif

you should try with Big Bengt (size down if you want tight fit)

+1

QUOTE(treflip @ May 12 2011, 12:47 PM)
i think most of the people here still dont understand that raw denim needs to be size down if you plan to wear them for 4-6 months without washing coz denim stretches out like mad!!
size down is important, but getting the right fit (cutting) is more.. big thigh buying super skinny is a fail no matter how much it can stretch..

and i would love to hear your comments of my fits, if by any chance you saw me posting.. that's the whole purpose of posting in forum, isn't it?

if most of you guys are keen on the competition, why not do a headcount and try to get someone organize a collaboration jeans for us, like what Tate + Yoko did?

the friendly competition doesn't sounds right, since everyone is using different jeans with no similarity (eg. weight/sanforized or un-sanforized). the one with the best denim (most likely the most expensive one) will win if all being worn in the same way.

anyway, evo pictures of my flat head taken by phone, slow progress due to 90% office wear.

This F380 is no longer produce and being replace with 3009 and limited pair of sizes is available from the place i got it. best part the price with shipping is damn reasonable (considering its deadstock) and much cheaper or should i say lower compare to Self Edge selling F380 (limited size left i think from 28 to 31) for USD 335 and the newer model 3009 i think USD 395 !

so if any of you guys interested head to e2nd.net
*
cool, got mine (same series) 2 years back from e2nd.net as well, comes with a samurai mouse pad.

deadstock or not, it's just a 3001 with 50/50 cotton/poly thread. people who's interested can still get the 3001/3005.

deadstock coz no longer produce and most importantly the price is cheaper (remember this DENIM is FREE, balance leftover from my FREE redmoon wallet funds which 55% of the fund already use to purchase the samurai). now this model is being replace with newer and a lil bit expensive model 3009, (based on info by several TFH hardcore in sufu, sf, ihforum and mynudies they all prefer F3XX series then the 3XXX series)....and yes its a cross between 3001 and 3005. but i dont like 3XXX series because of the arc and patch and remember the price also a bit higher.

anyway for those interested to buy off rakuten, pls email and ask the shop about stock availability first and dont simply purchase. (because several peeps reported that it takes sometimes for them to refund you ! because they ran out of stock)

So email them first, confirm got stock, then only you ask them to reserved plus making payment (either via paypal or credit card off rakuten). Also please be patient coz they are quiet slow in replying email. (when communicating pls use google translator, as most of them dont speak english so u need to write in english translate it in japan and paste it to your email, when they reply in japanese -copy paste and translate it in english using google translator)

and not all rakuten shop willing to do international shipment so u need to ask aswell.
*
did they changed the price of 3xxx series? it's around rm100 cheaper compared to F3xx series when i bought mine. plus i have seen 3xxx series with the new arc before, if i remembered correctly.

So from what i can gather, i have two options here:

a) to use samurai thunder soap or woolite to keep the indigo

b) to go with treflip's suggestion of letting it fade out

What would be the best result for these APCs standard petites?
Any suggestion?
*
come out with your own way. honestly the whole purpose of raw denim is to get personalized fades, you don't have to follow anything.

mine was in the washing machine twice with whatever detergent i found. i don't see it to has less indigo compared to those shown here.
