as I've stated a few pages back...I currently have an APC PS that I've sized down one....and I also stated I was looking for a slim straight fit....I just wanted to know if N&F and Nudie jeans will have the same reputation for stretching as different brands use different fabrics for their products...when I'm buying something I need to make sure it fits...thank you for your good advice  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
i size down 1 on n&f skinny guy broken twill, quite skinny fit,a person as skinny as me have a bit problem with the very small room for your weener. better stay tts if you have a regular leg size.

stretch is very subjective, what u describe as 'stretch a lot' may means 'stretch a bit' to others. what u do with ur jeans, how is the looks u want will also determine ur sizing choice.

different model from one particular brand will also determine how is the sizing should goes. in the end, its a process of try & error, luck and gamble. u can only read in the web for guide and example purpose, not an exact rule of thumb especially if youre planning to buy online.

Does it take a long time for the deep indigo colour to fade into lighter colour? Been wearing for about a month, i know its a short period of time, but just curious smile.gif
*
QUOTE(KahVII @ Feb 29 2012, 03:10 PM)
The more you wash the lighter it gets. That's the fast way.
*
wash and the colour will fade, but thats not a point of wearing raw denim. u want contrast, honeycombs and whiskers. wash it too early and it wont come out, the fades will be even through out the denim.

thats why you wear it without wash for a long period of time, to stress on some particular area and make it personal.

Just that as of now, the new batch which is made in japan. Chainstitch hem, back rise, around the waist, inseam, along the belt loop. Can't wait to see wether the roping effect will appear

So chainstitch is good for the fades and stronger, but I heard it can easily unravel, or no?

The feel is more rigid and does not feel cheap, like nudies(perhaps bcus of the weight?) Or my current n&f skinny guy.

The size is 29, feels a bit loose. Easily button up. Asked kiya and he suggest never go below my tts. Will hot soak help much? It is sanforized

sorry, idk that the size would be that big, posted using mobile phone.

well, im not in the position to talk about the diff, never saw the australian made duke hands on. but they replaced the 'x' stitching at the back pocket with hidden rivets.

back to my current pair, cycled around the city yesterday. in the cold, windy, rain for a whole day. it is all damp, and the middle back of it is all wet since the water from tyre got splashed due to no mud guard attached.

wash what?still too early, just aired it up using a standing fan overnight.

should i soak it before 1st wear? hot or cold soak? i could really use a slimmer fit for my duke.

compare to my current n&f, its kinda roomy. started 1st wear for nf with a very tight fit.

ill try it tomorrow, thanks

QUOTE(g3n0c|d3 @ Mar 6 2012, 02:13 PM)
damn the rise is high....  sweat.gif
*
isnt it? thats my first thought when i put them in. but yeah i could really use more space, this n&f is a bit small for me.

QUOTE(Stinky Fart @ Mar 6 2012, 02:28 PM)
@apsidewatch I prefer your N&F fit smile.gif
*
im looking for a less skinnier fit right now.

@treflip, how do u size on ur duke? i asked kiya and he recommend tts. and i need some poison for ur fit pic and current fades. its been awhile since u post it.

Added on March 6, 2012, 5:45 pmdo a xpost with imperial thread at sufu and got a response from kiya. this is what he has to say:

QUOTE
Those look perfect, they only look a bit off because you're tucking in your shirt into a jean that's supposed to be worn with a shirt that's untucked. Look at the fit photo from the front, it looks great, the one from the back makes the rise look too high.

guys....anybody bought from revolveclothing before? Bought a pair of N&F....wondering how long it will take to reach....no tracking
*
international shipping can goes up to 3 weeks, check which courier revolveclothing use. selfedge use usps, 6 days to reach here.

QUOTE(71ers @ Mar 6 2012, 06:45 PM)
@apsidewatch, it is a good fit.  Do a quick soak , wear it and it will eventually settle to the shape of your body.  I don't think the rise is high since you still got room to sag it a bit.  Maybe just a hem will do ?

and you got good wallet fade on your broken twill already  rclxms.gif
*
the area where i got the most fades, will take a close up pictures of it.

QUOTE(Imsilly @ Mar 6 2012, 08:22 PM)
Recently bought a pair of raw nudies. How do I prevent them from bleeding on my t shirt and shoes? :S
*
avoid contact with water and keep it dry. damp and wet raw denim will transfer the indigo.

Can't see the point of buying many pairs if u can't commit to break them in, well unless u are storing it for the future.

@shiningace , shouldn't u be wearing it hard?

amazing fade there, btw is that a deep indigo naked and famous?
*
@kevin it is not deep, just indigo. this model http://www.nakedandfamousdenim.com/collect...l-selvedge.html

not expecting such an awesome comment, but thank you everyone ! notworthy.gif

well, what i can say is that its been hell of a 3 months. wink.gif

started slow during december 2011, just a few days out of my room. then came january, been busy to settle my visa, financial affidavit, medical check up. travelled from terengganu-kl a few times to settle all of it. in february i pretty much walk around melbourne, with that 1 pair only, no rotation. bought a bicycle, cycle to my uni which is like 5km distance, so 10km per day at least if i decide to cycle instead of using tram.

i also notice that u tend to walk a lot in melbourne, since most stores are accessible alongside the street. on the other hand, in kl u probably will drive to shopping malls.

^ going for a sea soak man?
The first pic is beautiful! Where did you take it?
*
Twelve apostles, the great ocean road in Australia. beautiful view, i got lots of other pictures but right now still tired.

The Great Ocean Road is a 5 hour journey where u enjoy the scenery at the road turnouts available. the last stop is Twelve apostles, london bridge and Loch Ard Gorge where u can enjoy the sunset. rather than spending your money at crown plaza casino, clubbing at federation square or shopping at South Wharf Factory Outlet, rent a car for a day and go for the ride.

half back of my imperial are wet because of the sea water, but my imperial just got a soak and only like 4 days of wear. what should i do, soak, wash or let them dry? icon_question.gif

i think u need to rinse the half of your wet imperial with running water and then just dry it...
*
asked kiya again and within minutes he replied my pm and said to just let it dry.

he got my respect, to own a very reputable shop yet never been too busy to reply any pm for him, be it for a small question as mine. notworthy.gif

Was at the Penang Festival - Fiesta Malaysia 2012 @ Argyle Square, Lygon St. in Melbourne today.

Was amazed at the number of Imperial Dukes I saw. I saw a grand total of TWO dukes in a day. I've only sighted Imperials once in the past 2 years, today I get to see two - one guy had a real good fit.
*
that 1 guy that has the good fit, u remember what is he wearing?
