Haven't been to take5 bangkok.

Its been a while since I've been down to Bangkok. Might go, if any friends are making a trip there. But not sure I know where to go! Haha.

ypu dont have to worry about imitation if you go to bangkok if u wanna hunt down some raw or japanese denim...you will never get wrong if you go to Pronto or Take5 or the Adjective in Central World...You can find Pronto in Siam Square, Central World, and Siam Paragon...Take5 is at Lido first floor and Adjective in central world ground floor...Adjective carries nudie, dr denim, edwin sen, iron hearts, denham....pronto carries flathead, pbj, somet, naked and famous, cheap monday, nudies, red wings boot...whereas take 5, well you guys should know what take5 has hehehehe ...it was like heaven in take 5...had the chance to try on some momotaro war denim hehehe

Grim: my momotaroX naked and famous cost around SGD380 and my flathead was around 9500 bhat which is around RM900 like that..

cant wait to break in the two denim...but first things first...gonna break in my imperials and uniqlo for a few more weeks....hehehehe

Having my imperial soaked in warm warm water now....and the water turned brown coz of the starch...

sweet. how much wear on ur dukes? still looks new. mine having pocket fades already. and its getting so comfy, unlike the first two months where i couldn't button up the last button fly.

the wear is quite deep actually on my dukes but the lighting doesn't do justice to the picture...it turned out as blue as my brand new flat head which in reality it has turn into a lighter shade of blue and some parts still retain its dark blue hue...and the fit now i can actually sag em as low as i want and i need belt to hold it up...as compared to the first time i wore them i couldnt even fit my hands in them front pockets...hehehehe...

and i really hope my flat head f310 would have the same amount of stretch as my dukes as it is as stiff and tight as hell...somewhat like wearing a sized down slim jims...

Sounds like you didn't size down enough? How come have to wear belt now? Mine fits snugly. Yeah same here. At first, I couldn't fit hands into pockets as well. I put my wallet in the backpocket and couldn't take it out later.... had to break a sweat to find my bus ticket. Gay sheat >_>

Anyway, pls show pix after you wash ;D

guys...just wanna know what's the point of soaking? wont it wash away the starch and slow down fading?

size down 1 or TTS?

to avoid excess of indigo ink staining your beloved leather/canvas shoes.

i went size down one which i thought was a mistake but somehow im liking the fit now...the actual waist measurement for the flat head is 29 (tag 28)...so when i did my soak it shrank down 1 but now its back to more of a size 29 after wearing em constantly...the waist was and thigh area was super tight but upon waking up (since i slept in them) and walk around and went out the whole day in them now they stretched out to a more comfortable fit...as comfortable as when it was before soak (somewhat)...

as for the question on soaking, i asked Kiya of selfedge, he said the benefits of soaking them before wearing is to keep the health of the fabric as when it is introduced to water it strengthen up the fibers and also as u introduce it to water it will also 'open up' the fiber enough for it to break in and fade nicely...but mostly the initial soaking process pre-wear is mostly for unsanforized ones with the purpose of getting rid of shrinkage of the denim...kiya also mentioned that even if ur denim are sanforized u can also soak but not for the purpose of shrinking but the purpose of opening up and strengthen the fibre...u can google about this and search on sufu and hypebeast...lots of info there or u can ask mr kiya himslef...
