QUOTE(treflip @ Feb 11 2012, 10:50 PM) you need to wear your raw jeans for at least 4-6 months before washing to get contrast fades like that.. so do we soak it with hot? warm or cold water? i'll surely soak my next pair of raws. im on my nudies for 4 months now. thinking of getting my next pair of jeans. nudie is really hard to achieve fade. What advised you sifus out there will suggest me getting? flathead? imperial? momos? I lived in Bangkok btw so hunting for a pair of denim should be easier for me.for me i'd go for 4 months but try wearing ur jeans hard...cycle in it...go concert moshing...running...jogging etc...if your jeans is wet coz of sweat hang it straight away under the fan asap or air dry...after 4 months do a hand wash as the first wash =) but for me i would soak it once before wearing it for the first time to open the fibres up for a nicer fade..an advise given to me by kiya of selfedge =) |

QUOTE(kevin190791 @ Feb 13 2012, 05:49 PM) depending on the look you want to achieve, hot soak=more indigo lost, but a more contrast look if you break it real hard yes you are right, my first pair of nudie is organic dry embru. very hard to achieve fade even though i wear it almost everyday. flathead seems like a good bet as a lot of sifus here have a pair. nudie is one of the easiest jeans to fade, i guess you might be wearing an organic pair, thats why it is hard to break. go for flathead , they have one of the most beautiful arcuate ever..planning to buy one if i saved enough money QUOTE(Grimm @ Feb 13 2012, 06:29 PM) ~_~ grimm are you referring to artistdenim? i quite like their fit pictures. any of you have experienced with them?Soaking is to loosen up the fibres @goldlion Why are you letting it go? It looks awesome to me. If I were working in an office everyday (which I think I will in a few months time..) it would certainly be hard to put some decent wear into my jeans, but who cares if it fits real comfy and it has moulded to your body, should be perfectly satisfied with it @h11g Too many brands to choose from even online But there are really many choices to choose for in Thailand. I daresay.. after Japan and the US, Thailand comes in pretty close as the place to source raw or/and selvedge denim. They have lots of local denim manufacturers too. I mean REAL enthusiasts who stick to the core - japanese selvedge denim from the mills, proper copper rivets and pretty good construction for a good fit. |

QUOTE(chazychaz @ Feb 19 2012, 08:18 PM) It's going to battle series..both Japan Blue x Momotaro and Momotaro itself have this series..both manufactured under same company Japan Blue Group or Rampuya(in Japanese) Ohhh, thanks , I saw them in pronto and they were going for about 6500++ baht per pair. QUOTE(KahVII @ Feb 21 2012, 01:19 AM) Besides the cotton, are there any other significant differences between these 2? http://blueowl.us/scripts/psp/VB_Bridge3.d...000&LANGUAGE=US and http://www.blueowl.us/scripts/psp/VB_Bridg...ail&SKU=7992000? Actually what I saw was jb 0101. Are they worth going for?The one that has the Japan Blue collab is almost $100 cheaper and that's really tempting. What's so good about the standalone Momotaro one instead? Fading breaks easier? More comfy? I'm ready for my first official raw denim now just deciding which to take. Thanks |

QUOTE(goldlion @ Mar 10 2012, 06:01 PM) just came back from BKK and had the chance to visit Pronto Denim there. quite a decent collection they have: Nudies, Momos, Ksubis, Cheap Mondays and the best was their Pronto X The Flat Head collab. which pronto did you go to? the one in central world?Amazingly they're selling the Momotaros for a rather affordable price. Even the Nudies cost more haha. |

QUOTE(goldlion @ Mar 12 2012, 12:41 AM) went to the one in Central Plaza mall at Phah Ram 9 district. denim collection there seems pretty decent to me but i'm not how is it compared to the one in Central World cuz I didn't go there. plenty of nudies there if u're into that, including the jackets, wallets and accessories. there were some redmoon wallets there too. ive been to the one in cnetral world, yeah they have tonnes of nudies, and flat head, momotaroes, flat head. they have quite a collection of red wing as well.@apesidewatch: those are sick fades for 3 months bro! |

guys im hunting for my second pair of raw selvedge. Currently looking at flathead f310. Love the slim fit look but can this pair of jeans justify the price? Also a lot of people say it fades very nicely as well. Looking for owners of F310 to give more opinions. My first pair is a nudie tape ted dry org ecru btw.

QUOTE(lullerskatez @ May 10 2012, 12:39 AM) Guys is it better to have another pair of denim to rotate about in terms of having a longer life for the denim or is just rocking 1 pair continuously perfectly fine? XD ive been rocking my nudies continuously for 6 months now, unwashed and i didn't do presoak on this pair. It is still fine, not stinky at all |

QUOTE(KahVII @ May 13 2012, 08:43 PM) h11g, thanks I found it today and really impressed with their collection. So tempted to buy many of the denims but budget constraint stopped me from it. Really worthy of a visit, I love their store layout and design Bro your welcome, did you get any denim? I'm tempted to visit the store but I'm scared the poison will be too strong. btw I'm hunting for samurai s003jp but too bad they don't have it in size. |
