Added on December 22, 2011, 11:14 ami think there's a lot of raw denim now these days.... from topman to levis to cheap monday... wow.. loads of choices... but i reckon u to go to MUSA at Bangsar (jalan Telawi 4) and get urself a pair of cheap monday selvedge. after discount its around rm178++

*the bolded ones are the mainstream brand and the quality is so-so only

**the unbolded ones are what i consider a good quality denim eventhou nowdays levi's are not that good anymore... (unless u have the money to buy the levi's selvedge (which is raw also).

***the green color is only available on selected store. one of i know is at REALM at opposite of Times Square Hotel. Its a local brand using premium japanese denim. my brother bought them and they look freaking fantastic.

****the red color ones are available (that i know of) at MUSA Bangsar. Check those one out. if ure in a budget i suggest u look for cheap mondays because the denim are quite good and as for its name... its quite cheap for a raw/selvedge denim.

but overall u need to search around here and there... this is based on what ive seen and experience only... hope this help.

tarik jeans are raw jeans, my lil brother has it and its a fine quality raw denim and it cost around rm169 for the raw denim and rm269 (i hope i got the price right) for the japanese premium raw denim.

i can ask my lil brother to wear it but since he's not a hardcore denimhead.... it still look brand new.... hahahahaha....

-raw denim (the best is premium 14 oz japanese raw denim)
-the construction and the denim for the tarik jeans is better than uniqlo (based on my personal opinion. its up to u to decide)
-got hidden rivet at the back pocket (i dont know but i think its cool thou. its the same as my evisu)
-got 2 design, slim fit and skinny fit... and trust me the skinny fit is REALLY skinny! i even have hard time with the slim fit at all and i have a big thigh. not really suitable. however my lil brother is thinner than me and fits him nicely (i'll try post some pics later)
-for RM170 raw denim (either skinny or slim fit) its cheap enough and value for money


unbranded brand

-what i know is its from Naked & Famous sister company....
-Made from 100% cotton sanforized 14.5oz Japanese rope dyed indigo selvedge raw denim. Featuring a button fly, hidden rivets, chain stitched hem and leather patch.
-made in Macau (not in canada like N&F)
-simple design and have 4 design
-USD 78 on online store. not sure how much here in Malaysia....

i can only give u some info about this 2 denim. I only have experience with tarik jeans, but not unbranded brand but i do have N&F and the quality is top notch. but then again the price would be the factor.

take this fact with a pinch of salt (well maybe alot) and choose ur denim wisely....

skinny guy all no slevedge line but i think it is selvedge. either that or its japanese raw denim. which for me still win2 situation lol...
been to musa last saturday also... but N&F all limited. i did ask my brother to take the N&F 24oz since its his size... but lastly he bought Cheap Monday Selvedge

im looking forward to it..., as long as u guys can state the rules and regulation neatly and clearly i wouldnt mind trying. Got a couple of denim i havent wear yet. should be a motivation for me to start wearing those jeans....


and i just back from seksyen 13 shah alam. yeap the over there selling Evisu, Samurai (17oz, 24oz) and one Momotaro going to battle 15oz and couple of Levis Vintage..... but the price... awww man....

well depending on what type of cutting u like but i gotta say its a bit baggy IMHO... u should size down another 1 or 2 size... after washing surely it'll stretch more than u wearing now...

sorry..it was supposed to be after wearing it for sometime it'll stretch and not after wash. well if u wash it using hot water then it should shrink... but cold water will not... (well in my experience its gonna shrink a bit... but not too much)

im speaking for N&F since i only have N&F jeans right now and yes... the crotch is a bit tight than usual (mine is weird guy, a bit low waist...) i can see that my jeans also will have crotch bust in this couple of months or so since its a bit tight over there....

but then again so does my nudies but stil going strong without crotch bust..... yet...

i can see its freaking thick man... if i work on construction site or do some farming i wont mind giving this a thorough break in.... but alas i work in office with hardly no labor work at all...
