Just wondering, are children allowed in for 18+ movies as long as they are accompanied by a guardian?
More specifically, I want to know the practice in Cineleisure Damansara and GSC 1 Utama.
Anyone got any idea?
And no, I'm not a pedobear.

I brought my cousin to watch True Grit and we weren't frisked.

Yeah actually I'm planning for True Grit too. I just checked GSC 1U and the hall is tiiiiiny! So I prefer Cineleisure. Been a loong time since I watched an 18+ movie with my family... I'm just afraid after purchasing the tickets they wont let us in.

Like I said, unless your kid is 5 or 6, I doubt they'd care. And I personally have not seen any of the ushers care to look at the stubs. Just give and go.

Yeah..the worst is they will be asking is if the kids have tickets But seriously, there are a few movies that require 18 above which they showed a strict warning on the posters (I think it was District 9)..but I'm not sure if any kids were given entry.

It really depends on luck whether you'll get caught or not. Just make sure you have a back up plan if you do. Like buying Yogi Bear tickets in advance so the unlucky ones get something to watch at the same time you're watching True Grit.

Else just buy an extra U-rated movie ticket, then let your kids enter using that ticket in advance, an insurance with just a few bucks

Whether they allow or not, it's totally random. There was this cinema (name not mentioned here) which checks for under 18 entry during weekdays. But on weekends, at one time, they even have 'children ticket' for movies above 18. Weird.

seriously i think parents that bring kids into 18++ movies are just brain dead, especially those that bring 1 month old babies into movies like aliens vs predator, OMFGBBQ
