i wonder when i will be released? i went to the shop today in Johor Bahru, ... still not available ...

i stay in Kulai .. went to CityWise HQ which is in Kulai. They also have branch in Danga Mall. The supplier even called up Asus in front of me to ask about the laptop and reply was whole Malaysia still not out for this model...


Then he recommended Acer 5750g becozz cheaper and now is 2GB dedicated for GPU

Yeah .. especially for small town like Kulai..... EXTREMELY rare.

So which leaves me still undecided to go for acer 5750g or the asus N53sn.. sigh .....

since budget not an issue for me .. i'm considereing waiting 1-2 more weeks to see whether n53sn will be out or not..

.. what do u guys think? .. there's a lot talk about N53sn and how everybody wants it ... and it's better in build quality than the 5750g n better GPU .... is it REALY that good?

I previously had an acer ... after 3 years of usage, GPU got fried ... to replace ... need RM700 !! .. no shitting .. so expensive .. might as well sell old lappie, and top up and get new one rite? so that's why i am looking out for new laptop.

well, if specs then it's almost same as acer 5750g, just that GPU is better, right?

If build quality, then i don't know. N series Asus suppose to be the good quality build right?

If speakers then i think it's roughly the same.

If price then Asus n53sn more expensive by about RM600.

Is paying extra RM600 for a bit better GPU and supposedly "better build quality" worth it?



p/s: I am still undecided for which one to buy ....

sigh ... makes me want time-space jump into next week to see the N53sn .....

currently leaning more towards the N53sn ....

but i agree the GPU is a bit let down.

but the n43 GPU not that good .. and only 1GB only.... do u think will affect performance in gaming? and photoshop?

opps .. i read wrongly. i thought it has a GT540 . but only 1 GB ram ... will affect performance?

but after exchange rate about RM3800. much more expensive than N53sn . but they have freebies. so roughtly comes out to about the same thingy.

rm3800 for n42. + freebies. ( is it possible to ask them dealer to add 1gb ram for GPU ? ) , but smaller 14".

looks like n42 more portable and should be lighter. i wonder will it overheat like the acer 5750g?

I called the dealer in Kulai, Johor Bahru. CityWise is the shop name. HQ is in Kulai. They can order Asus N53SN. They say out already. Have to give deposit about RM100-RM200 then in 1-2 days can collect already. If over in the morning, then next day can get. If afternoon then 2 days.... I will be getting mine VERY SOON!!!!

They also have branch in Danga City Mall and also Landmark.

hi everyone, finally got my N53SN. YEAH!

Tweating and uninstalling bloatwares for faster boot time. now currently boot time at 73secs.

keyboard feels pretty funny as quite big and long. needs some getting used to.
