Added on March 27, 2011, 6:24 pmUninstalled all cyberlink software, game park thingy where they have all those free trial games, avast! AV unless you dun have any other Anti Virus la. Other programme you think you dun wan use also can delete. If your having some problems with the shortcut keys, you will need to reinstall ATK driver and Asus wireless control. You can get the driver from the CD that come with the laptop...which is not so helpful or better yet download from the Asus website

I dont know about CM U2, but i use CM notepal X2 it just fit nicely.

BTW, any1 here use know how to disable the icon in desktop (i tried disabling it by un'ticking' the 'Show Desktop Icon' but every time the laptop reboot or shut down, the desktop icon will be there again)

^Check the Power4Gear, if not mistaken got the option for desktop icons..

already tried but after the pc restart / shutdown, the icon will be there again. any other solutions?

I just visited Local Asus distributor and manage to check out the N53SN before buying it.
I tried pressing the - + and mute button also including the FN + Vol keys on the keyboard and the volume didn't change at all.
but the FN + - brightness keys are functional.

I asked the technician and he said he just install some games and Microsoft 2010 and he didnt uninstall any bloatware.

Anyone else experience this ? Sifus please comment : )

the ATK driver is kinda like "unstable". The ATK driver basicly enable the shortcut keys to work. Some times when installing certain program that change windows settings......ATK somehow gone wrong. Have to install it again for it to work...which takes few sec. No biggy, dis problem rarely occurs and if did just install the driver again

So i can just redownload and reinstall the ATK driver from Asus support site .
