guys how to check whether the notebook is new unit? if based on sealed box, does that mean that when the seller bring the box to you, the box has a Asus cellophane tape on the box opener there. If the tape is not being cut, means that it is new unit? and first start up, i assume window will ask some configuration for the OS right? thank you in advance

the seal will tell u everything...

is there any possibility that the seal are carefully been opened up and then sealed back??
worry that some are so well professional that they able to slowly open up the seal then change the notebook and seal back without any evidence

Even if its new or used does it still work and look like new? most importantly. Btw now its a43jv and n43jm already xD

so means that as long as the tape is not broken, i do not have to worry about whether it is a new unit?

u can try removing the seal, but u'll damage the box in the process as well...

only the OEMs have their own seals, there's no way a retailer can get hold of one...

even if they can, when they "re-seal" , the most they can do is cover up the original seal, u can't do a perfect cover up...

unless ur really really careful like only getting the seal off after an hour then ur fine probably..

i just called and ask the shop and he said when the laptop came, there are 2 boxes, 1 outer layer and inside is the laptop boxes, he said that they had to open the outer one to make sure there is something in there, or else i cant claim my warranty if there are nothing inside the boxes but i think they didn't open the laptop box. is the outer box those brown color normal box just to protect the item? i know it may sound confusing but thats what he said to me lol.
