QUOTE(victor_hoh @ May 27 2011, 03:32 PM) I have not test driven the Polo, but I can say that the responsiveness of a dual clutch gearbox is really way better than a torque converter slushbox. This is from my test drive experience of the Ford Fiesta. The car is very eager to launch with just a light tap on the throttle. I can only imagine that the experience should be multiplied by 10 for Polo, with a force-inducted engine. The gear change in the Polo is seamless. the only way u can tell that the car has changed gear is by looking at the current-gear-position indicator (dunno what it's actually called.). in 308, gear change is still smooth, though not as smooth as the Polo. Plus point for the 308 is the wastegate chatter (dunno the correct term, the 'shii shiii' sound when u lift ur foot off the throttle). |
