i am a O- and doc was concerned if my hubby was +. That would be risky to the mother's life if baby is +. But in my case hubby is also -, so no worries there. I believe in your case, there should be no risk. For concrete answer, pls check your doctor.

thank you guys for the brief and straight answers smile.gif
i did some more googling after getting the keyword search tips from meow25 (thank you!) and i found out it will affect woman who's RH are negative and the man's RH are positive AND that the baby inside is RH positive as well.

though the first child won't have any problems as the mother still haven't develop the antibody to ward off the positive RH blood cells from the baby's. it is the 2nd child onwards that will have problems but with today's technology, doctors are able to detect and cure this problems early. i forgot which site i was referring to already >.<

@qarezma, you have one rare blood blood type like me. i wonder if u r a regular blood donor? smile.gif

@joey, yeah, i know both me n my gf's blood type, mine's AB- and her's AB+.

still, i have a good mind to consult doctors regarding this issue as some forumers have advised smile.gif

hi 5! i am not allowed to donate as my blood count is forever on the low side, due to thallasemic traits, but hubby is a regular donor.
my hubby oso same as me! so i guess our baby should be our blood type too rite?

you are right that first baby it wont give any problems (if the mother is -ve and baby +ve) but doctor will still give u the injection after the delivery just to be safe...
