for example this 2005 getz, the rectangular silver thingy behind the engine and infront of the windscreen is the intake manifold, you can see theres a big plastic hose connecting to the black box where the air filter is.

All Efi cars got a throttle body instead of a carb, which can be seen where the intake manifold connects to the pipe there (also silver color, got slightly square shape). hope this helps
