Hi People,
I am toying with the idea of buying an N8 for GPS and Camera functions only.
Can the GPS work without anysim card inside? Can the N8 works with GarminXT for the 5800XM or do you need a new version?
What about the motherboard problems i heard. Serious?

QUOTE(botakbin @ Mar 9 2011, 11:10 AM) i think no need sim. Yes can use 5800 version. And i don't think got mobo prob anymore cos it's been a long time since the nightmare period and nobody has reported bout such problems edi. If camera and gps is ur main priority.. U won't go wrong with this phone. Yeah...i was thinking to buy a dedicated Garmin GPS and compact camera....since this phone can do 2 very well, so it's an option. But for smartphone and call function, i am sticking to my HTC Desire... I wonder how does a Panasonic LX5 compact compares to the image quality of the N8? LX5 is my target compact digicam. QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Mar 9 2011, 11:28 AM) to be safe better get NEW because we do not know if the previous owner have any problem? Nokia N8 sets have a few complaints so its kinda risky for used set. Ok, thanks for your advice. Will consider my options. I wonder how good those dedicated Garmin GPS is...cheapest is around RM500???
