QUOTE(pwncake @ Feb 23 2011, 08:20 PM) Lol. Cannot la pay the whole car. Cukup for d/p kua... Btw slightly off topic, but may I know how much ppl earn on avg to service the gti/roc car loan + house loan + family etc? Im not on the pulse when it comes to financial management, though I'm quite prudent with my money True no one will tell you the exact numbers, but 15% is the max you should blow on a car loan monthly, basically you need 10 k monthly pay to own an inspira or less , so that works out to about 20 k monthly pay to own a golf gti... Sad but true fact in Malaysia. So there you are , a dose of reality with practicality

QUOTE(tiganasfx @ Feb 24 2011, 10:59 AM) According to my friend at CIMB, a lot of people who are earning RM4-5K (gross) are buying RM100K+ cars nowadays e.g. peugeots, golfs, polos, etc. Yea scary isn't it?.they remind me of those air plants I used to keep......live on nothing but sunlight and moisture

For all those who are asking about run in period, there is no run in period for most if not all of the new cars produced nowadays at least in the last decade.....BUT you are recommended to change your engine oil halfway before your manufacturer first scheduled service...

the reason behind changing the engine oil at 5 k is to remove the microscopic flakings of metals ..............from your 'running in' period....oh yes and filter too if you are a heavy footed driver.....but the filter bit is a little too much tho Added on March 9, 2011, 7:56 pmQUOTE(Mavik @ Mar 9 2011, 02:03 PM) Which branch is this dishonest SA from? If in your booking agreement that it is clearly stated that the fee is fully refundable, you can bring it to the small claims tribunal. it happened to me at other car dealers from other brands too.......you just have to call the principal.... QUOTE(Alias @ Mar 9 2011, 10:36 PM) correct me if I'm wrong but, VW cars do not require an oil change @ 5k. Something got to do with the engine has undergo a pre-running in at their factory. anyway guys, does anyone know why is vwgolfclubmalaysia forum is down for a few days?? yes like i said nowadays most engines have a running-in at the factory when assembled, therefore the inverted commas for the "running in " period when ppl just bought the cars but some car enthusiast still recommend an early oil change for the very first time....lol 'virgin' oil change...
