after root ur phone,u need to flash the custom recovery
the most easy way is download "rom manager" from market
then choose flash clockworkMod recovery
and reboot

and i lazy to root my phone using z4root, because if use it i need to downgrade my phone version
as now my phone running v10g which is 2.2.2, so i use gingerbreak 1.2 better as the guide say

1st u sure 10g can root via gingerbreak?

2nd u plan to use rom manager and clockworkmod rite, just leave that 3a post maa,thats one for build recovery system(AmonRa),u dont remember last time u fail on that part twice ..hahaha

1st : not sure whether can or not,should be can since my android version 2.2.2 which same as v10f
2nd : due to i got bad impression to rom manager and got people complain at the link that i post just now, that why I want try amonra recovery
so now hope you guys can teach me how to flash it ><
