i went to Menara Maxis yesterday and got my phone checked. the buggy home button is working 7 out of 10 times and sometimes 3 out of 10 times, depending on its mood.

i was told to go back and get a replacement set tomorrow. saw my friend's replacement/refurbished set, looks like a new one. got my phone on the 1st day of launch last year, guess i'm fine with getting a 'new' set.

I understand that we will get a 1-to-1 replace. So before sending in, did you guys backup your phone and delete everything (back to default) you saved in the phone?

Make sure you backup all your data, sync all your apps that you purchased through the Appstore via iTunes and once you receive your "new" iPhone, restore the backup to the new set.

ok latest update. i went to Menara Maxis today. apparently my warranty's 'serial number' is not registered in their system YET after i got the phone on the 1st day of the launch. it'll take them 24-48 hours to get that done then only i will get my replacement set. were in a good mood today, didn't make a big hu-ha. now i regret. will be filling up their Contact Us form right after i submit this. bah

I used the "Activator" and I think I will less using my SLEEP and HOME button!

Great app ever!

But, is there any way to unlock the screen wihtout pressing any buttons when LOCK SCREEN is not visible?

I think the only way to invoke iPhone from sleep is to touch a hardware button. My guess is the touch screen is completely dead when sleep. So I don't think Activator can do that.

finally got it after calling them twice a day since Wednesday.
everything works fine now. loving my 'new' set. activated multi gesture to avoid pressing the home button.
maxis users, just go get a replacement set, it looks brand new irregardless if it's refurb set or not.
cheers! rclxm9.gif

Digi depends on stock availability bro. If they have the stock you can get fast. One of my customers got replacement within a day.

err..I think my button going to kong oledi sad.gif

I installed those fancy software to minimize use of the Home button but no use, the button didn't improve much even after less pressing it

Push many times also wont respond...but once a while seems OK...

Just a few months old..

Sad
