QUOTE(Joelles @ Mar 7 2011, 11:12 PM) If you have the budget and patience to wait for the ipad2, then you can skip the 1 generation. Check out the latest features that comes with the new ipad2 in apple website and compares what the I gen iPad. IMHO, just imagine that the iPad 1 gen is the lower spec of the ipad2 as the price are going to be few hundred bucks differ. Again, if you are not too desperate to own an iPad, you should wait for the ipad2 then. not really desperate .... then I shall wait... |

Let's say I have budget of RM1500.
Should I get Ipad 1 3G 16GB now, or I should wait for Ipad 2 16GB Wifi only? |

QUOTE(merchant9 @ Mar 8 2011, 10:04 AM) 3G means you need to pay our telco for 3G services isnt it? If me, I'd rather wait for WiFi version is enough. Our 3G speed is not exactly very stable and fast either. I have MiFi. So 3G is not really important to me. But 3G one got GPS. QUOTE(eugenechiuu @ Mar 8 2011, 10:07 AM) Well... I still can't find a significant use of an 3G iPad very much... Do you? I actually only think about GPS since I have MiFi.. I guess GPS is kinda not important in Ipad ya... erm...If I bring an iPad out, I would probably be using it at Uni library, starbucks etc... All these places got Wifi... Lets say you need a GPS and you need to check the map in the middle of the street, or in the car... Well in this case, I could bare with my iPhone... In the streets, ppl can easily grab it from you and run away.. Especially in 3G deprived areas, it would bound to be useless with GPRS connections, talk about extra internet plans per month... ok, probably I really should wait for Ipad2...lol |

QUOTE(eugenechiuu @ Mar 8 2011, 10:24 AM) You know you don't need the 3G version to use google maps right? A42JV = gaming on the go... Anyways, I thought you already have a Asus A42Jv, Acer Aspire One Happy.... Still need an iPad? LOL Acer Aspire One Happy = mobile internet with Win7 Apple Ipad = reader and fun apps LOL... QUOTE(merchant9 @ Mar 8 2011, 10:35 AM) Google Map is not exactly impressive because even my house road has not been updated yet even though I have lived there for 2 years! well, the big screen...lolHowever, if you have Papago on an iPhone already, which is extremely accurate and helpful, what's the use of a iPad with GPS? |

QUOTE(kc26 @ Mar 9 2011, 10:01 AM) If you r outside with no WIFI. and your IPAD is not 3G, there's offline map from google and other supplier. Then how you get the google map to give you direction via GPS. You have to somehow download the map before going out right? Can you do that on ipad?? So.... 3G is the best? |
