@fruitie depends on how close you can get to the cage/fence. if you can press the lens very close to the cage, then can bokeh out the cage to be almost invisible.
on the other hand if (example cos of wall or whatever) you can't get close to the fence then not much can be done, sure can see one.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 23 2011, 01:02 PM) I'll be using only 55-250mm. I wonder, is there any tips for me to shoot these birds when they are caged? Sure will see the cage's "line" right? When you zoom in. You wont be able to see the lines. If i m not mistaken. I tried it before. lol

QUOTE(scotty @ Feb 23 2011, 01:42 PM) there are no cages right? everything is under 1 big giant cage. correct me if wrong most of them are flying/walking around in the "huge cage" so yeah, you can get lots of nice shots of them in pseudo-natural environment, but there are a few that are separately caged up - like the emu's and ostriches.

The bird show is at 12:30pm and 3:30pm on weekends. Feeding time you have to refer to the billboard once you are inside. Interesting shooting points would be the feeding sites, parrots house and the bird show.
There's a nice waterfall near the bird show area that you can try to shoot flowing water effects if you want.
And of course a lot of those white birds and pheasants walking all around the park can give some interesting angle to your shots.
Just my input. Hope you enjoy yourselves there.
