Guys, I wanna ask one possibly the stupidest question in this thread/forum.

*putting on the flame suit*

Is it possible to install & keep 2 different region GT5 game in one PS3 with same ID?

To cover my idiocy,

Reason of buying R3: Future DLCs

Reason of keeping R2: Hours being put into Savegame.

I'm gonna try it later & see what happen.

It sucks not to have region free dlc....no thanks to NTSC & PAL incompatibility sad.gif

Added on November 2, 2011, 8:50 amok, it works. I can keep R2 & R3 game data. Later tonite finishing up the updates & buy dlc see whether there's clashing between 2 game datas.

But do you have to buy the DLC twice as well?

I mean, Buy DLC for R3 and then use R2 game disk (to continue save game) and getting all teh DLC preloaded on R2 disk game.

Thansk!
*
Tried it, cannot at all.

Because after bought the dlc, the list should appear in dlc menu.

sadly it didn't appear in R2 disc. GT5 dlc is region lock berhabis.

I tot pd will release a patch to overcome this ?
*
pd punya future patch is allow player with other account to play installed dlc (example R2 account can play R3 dlc & R3 disc.)

in his case, region dlc is different with region disc.

So it's correct to say we can't drive the wheel the way we do with the ds3 even though ds3 may make it out of a turn with full throttle on
wheels it may not.

I'm always confused with Tsukuba, when you felt you are slow in the end you are faster than what you assume to be faster, this is especially true on the last U turn. It's something i can't figure out why. I tried to recreate it but most of the time i become really slow, i think you need to do it perfectly to be faster than traditional method. And seems the real life method out in out while keeping on the inside during the turn is not the fastest way out.

I'm still figuring out how on youtube a guy managed to clock around 53secs on Tsukuba with a FD2R. Maybe you can do a demo run with bumper cam view?
*
you still use default X=Accelerate O=Brake & use d-pad to steer ah?

I swap it with R2=Accelerate L2=Brake & left analogue stick to steer. Easier to control the brake & throttle & smoother cornering.

I blame it on LA Noire, Driver SF & TDU2 for non-configurable controls & NFS Shift 2 for weird driving physics.

But then, I find myself doing a lot better lap times than all or nothing (X & O) button. I'm not all that great in driving with limited tasking fingers (yes I'm using auto & I'm not ashamed to admit it) but I don't have to use ASM & skid recovery anymore although my TC is 3, I'm still practising the throttle & brake control.

like my previous post on the previous page, MR has a 'perfect' 50:50 weight balance, which, in theory, easier to drive. But MR cars dont behave well in sudden weight shifts
*
All modern non-racing Ferraris are eerily stable to drive as oppose to Lamborghini with sideway happy AWD in stock.

That got me thinking about the journalist from EVO magazine who rant about Ferrari being a cheat for letting the press drive "tuned" car while car sold to regular customer is different until he got banned from driving Ferrari press car.

I'm pretty sure that's for US region. Besides, tak kan PD go render GT86 trailer for fans to syok sendiri and give US market exclusive Scion brand for the rest of the world.

But I totally welcome Scion expansion in the game if they add in US exclusive Scion tC too.

Gran Turismo 5: New DLC and Update 2.02 Coming Next Week

QUOTE
Hey GT fans! We’re excited to announce all of the new content coming to Gran Turismo 5 next week, including our second round of DLC. Next week you’ll be able to download Car Pack 2 for $3.99 and add some fantastic new rides to your garage. Car Pack 2 includes the 2011 Mini Cooper S, 2010 Volkswagen Golf VI R, 2010 Volkswagen Scirocco R, and the new and improved 2012 Nissan GT-R Black edition R35.

There’s more good news, because as a special gift anyone who purchased anything from the first batch of DLC will get unlock the Gran Turismo Racing Kart 125 SP and five New Car Refresh cards in the game for free. The refresh cards will take any car back to being ‘as good as new’ while maintaining any modifications or paint jobs you have given your motors. To take advantage of this offer, you’ll need to install the new downloadable update hitting next week.

The free downloadable update coming next week will also add several new enhancements to GT5 as well as correcting some reported issues. A few examples of the benefits of update 2.02 include:

- Users can now change wheels on Standard cars

- The settings sheets will include a new ‘copy’ feature

- In GT Auto, players will be able to see how the oil changes, aerodynamic parts, engine overhauls, and racing modifications will affect performance points and engine power, before and after their application

- Free coupons have been added that allow you to wash cars, change oil, overhaul your engine, or refresh the car body in GT Auto (10 coupons will be distributed for free to each of those who have downloaded the 2.02 update)

- Pressing the Square button in the car coupon selection screen of the Car Delivery will now allow you to exchange all car coupons at once, rather than doing one at a time

- In screens where the [Garage] and [Driver List] buttons are displayed in the A/B Spec events, Special Events, and Seasonal Events, pressing the Square button will now show the [Garage], and pressing the Triangle button will bring up the drivers list

- In My Lounge, the room settings will feature a new ‘Max. number of participants’ setting

- In the event selection screen of seasonal events, there are now ☆(star) marks that show the number of Gold Trophies attained in each event

- Improved racing sound effects

- Elements of the steering assist controls (used when using certain controllers on Racing Karts) have been tweaked

As an additional gift to players this holiday season, everyone who downloads the 2.02 update will also receive the stunning Toyota FT-86 2012 to add to their in-game collection.

One more note: Those who purchased the course and/or vehicle DLC that was released in October will be able to download Family Upgrade unlocks for free from the store. This means that if you bought the Racing Car Pack, Course Pack, or the ‘Complete Pack’ that contained both of these, by downloading the free Family Upgrade items, the content will now be accessible to more than just the user account that purchased the content. Family members or friends using the same PS3 can all use the courses and cars. Note that the upgrade doesn’t apply to the Racing Gear Pack or Special Paint Pack, and starting next week, new purchases will not have the restriction in place.

And don’t forget, there’s only one week left to compete in the special GT5 Time Trial Challenge and unlock a special edition Nissan GT-R for your garage. We hope you enjoy the free game updates, new cars and new batch of DLC. Drive safe!

SoS

Oh yeah..Free Toyota GT86

Well...they did some work compared to gtr minor touch-ups. Besides, we don't have to pay for it, so I ain't complaining.

Ace Combat dlc pricing is ridiculous compared to this. Each plane cost rm22-rm45 & one most sneakiest dlc that I've come across is "quick respawn" costs rm17. I mean come on! I thought nfs timesaver pack is ridiculous. doh.gif
