But doing so will make the car very slow yes? On DS3 i always throttle when counter steer in order to drag the car back to the right direction without losing much speed or time but is it very difficult to do on wheels?
Also base on your technique how much wheel do we normally need to counter steer?
bare with me, this gonna be a LONG post/rant.
First of all, imho, you need to be SLOW in SOME PART/SECTION of the track in order to be FAST on the track. Few months back, on this very thread, someone asked why his maxed out McLaren is slow at Tsukuba. So i decided to help and bought a stock McLaren + racing tyres and did a 3 lap test drive on Tsukuba. In the end, i was 1 second faster than his time with a stock McLaren.
The point here is, you gotta have clean driving technique in order to be fast. Take a look at Vettel and Button and their steering movement, no drama, looks boring/slow but when you look at their lap times, their are damn fast.
Each car has its own characteristics, FR & RR cars ,imho, has a wider turning arc; meaning if you are turning left, you have to take the most right side of the track and wait at the very last minute to turn in unlike FF cars.
You need to throw away your DS3 habits, learn how to feather the throttle, how to 'pump' brake when you're driving sans ABS, weight transfer etc etc
