Hi peoples, i've decided to go for my first pap smear soon and was wondering anyone could recommend any clinics in Penang Island?
*
go to island hospital - dr eric

he's very good .. has a night clinic on thursdays (i think) so if you cant make it during normal hours you can schedule an appointment at night

Hi there,

uhm i assume he will charge superbly expensive since its from island hospital yea ? and of course every girls prefer it would be a female doc  blush.gif

hmm.. the test itself is not so expensive, i cant remember exactly how much but mine cost quite a bit cos i went for a blood test as well ...
nurse is female la, and he's very fast and professional so like .. tak malu lor

but if you really want a female you can go to gleneagles .. dr yeoh ... but you need to book appointment sometimes up to 1 month in advance ... i think its about somewhere between RM60-100

oh thanks alot for your info.  smile.gif

i search around and found this (near green lane)
http://tmcpenang.com/www/index.php?option=...id=56&Itemid=78

RM198 including

    * Consultation by O&G (report provided)
    * Pap Smear
    * Examination by Specialist Consultant for Breast, Abdomen and Pelvic

Just wonder if its worth it to pay a lil extra for the 3rd service.
*
well when i go for my annual the examination is included ... just check for any lumps/growths or whatever
if any specific concerns then ultrasound, blood test .... theres extra charge for that

oh, make sure you keep track of your period days as well, cos dr will usually ask
hope this helps !

rclxms.gif Thanks again. I do always keep track of my period dates. They are usually pretty accurate, its good to be accurate right?  blink.gif

yep
my period was unpredictable, sometimes got, sometimes don't have ... which is why i had to go for a blood test >.<
My doctor put me on the pill, so its nice and regular now, but PMS mood swing like crazy sweat.gif
