I think your guys got miss understood in this topic. No in term of science as i say early.

Ok...maybe  may bad english cos ppl missunderstood...

Here is my view: (i believe diference ppl have diference view, & pls note it, this topic may not related or affected by religion, races, or culture, depend on how u think about it. some ppl will automatic mix it will culture, some mix with science, is all up to u).

1) brain- mind- space-soul. example: human mind r unlimit or infinity, but border but the restriction of of human body. Some ppl use their mind to create solution that the human can overcome diase, & die. If u go indeed, mind & brain can be totally "related" or "not all" (can be define as layer/space).

2) Human can create "thing" (city, tech..) & destroy it. The idea & inspiration all come from the mind. So indeed of mind, i believe got "space", & each space got a door for it. each door/space got the diference infor(inventory). The point is, how many door u can open? & how many knowledge (ideas) inside the space u can grab(remenber).

3) lock down- when we go to certain or too many space, the deep of the mind....we may lost our panth to reallity. example: u may say : this guy thinking too much & now his mental got little insane or worsted. (this depend on how deep u explore & how far u can remenber your panth to back home). beside that, some ppl when they face great impact (sons die sunddely), they may become insane. Y? our brain/mind got selfdefence system. & your Soul will lock in the space( memory space (past) - happy time with her sons), & she will talk to the "air", or alway think that she sons go working.

4) so thay why i say: brain - mind-space- soul. simply express my view for it.

5)  Dreams- (1 layer dream) i believe may of u may dream a place for piss( toilet), then u sure piss out. when u grow up, same dream, but u realise is that dream & u automatic force yourself wakeup to piss. Rite?

(2 layer dreams) i do dream 2 layers dream like what your ppl saw the movie "inception". i dream i when out with my friends, talk alot, then the sky change dark, ghost chasing me (all ppl around me gone unconciously). i knew it a dream, i make myself wakeup, then i wakeup in my room. but the window is dark while my room is light(sunlight). i realise it a dream too, & i force my self wakeup. i wakeup in reality room, my head damn pain.

6) Predictable/ future dream(Déjà vu)- Maybe i'm the lucky one, cos i came dream this kind of dream: i dream i jogging in apark (i never go before) & talk to someone i don't know him/her. affter that i wakeup, realise it just a dream. Then after a year, in the place & the ppl i talk....wait...why this so familiar...why all this scenario so similar of my dreamed?  why. Those ppl who got this kind of dream sure cannot explain of it (feeling).

7) Received data- recieved any data from alien? no...but i do dream a apak i dunno, say: "u got little money or not" shout very louded. alway say this too me...then his gone with his motor bike. i notice his plate no" tomoro i go toto..buy & win...LOL. Can this be explain in sceince? i sure may of your parent face this before. this kind of service do appear in military in US , china & russia.

8) idea- Why some ppl idea so great very craetive, while other not. why some ppl got wonder full data that can build atom....city..& future.

9) infinity ..........dunno how to talk...or can u understand me. Movie like "mad detective" HK film- very well..cos 1 man/brain- inside the mind got space that lock 7 soul. this character play by Lam ka tong.

Why i share this topic...cos i believe..( I believe i can fly, one day human can fly in sky- Orville and Wilbur Wright).

Do share your point of view regard : brain or mind or space or soul. how they work together? How deep human can explore? How many door & what inside in your Space?

for me, sometime hard to control my mind keep thinking, the ideas, inform keep coming & coming (like after c a movie, what do u feel it, learn it, what the message they need to apply).

& i do like this subtitle very much, & i do like the movie regard mind thinking & space timeliness.

Mind thinking: (curios what inside in that ppl mind..)
movie regard it: Mad detective, red dragon, The Silence of the Lambs, New Tenant  ...etc.

space & timeliness: (full of imaginary, when(where) it start, & when it end, or recycle never ending)
film: 13th floor, Second Time Around (HK film, the concept quite good), Doremon (lanci bawa meja adalah time machine), the sound of thunder, run lola run ...etc (based on their concept, some question may anwser, or in logic form...)

when u watch the movie of 13th floor, they said 2044 year ppl create 100 above simulator (world & ai ppl exist in computer simulator space) & one of then r simulator 1996, this simulator 1996 his own self create simulator 1940, which means simulator create simulator....

my question r, 2044 maybe also simulator too. if 2044 world r simulator, then where is the first (real) world that create all this simulators? can we count of it? how many actual simulator in created? & how many simulator create simulator r craeted? is that got end of it, or is that recycle"lun hui" the space & timelinesss...like we all, ( born , sick old & die~ if u believe in buddha)....Why they want to create simulator...& who behide this..???

Regard the practice brain power, it may can be divide to :

1) memory power (how to remenber word)
2) Brainstorm (gathering of ideas for inspiration)

Memory power (daya ingatan): Simply talk~ i know in Malaysia do offer memory classes, help ppl to remenber all the word, image, color, items, specific ...etc, in a fast moment. For some student that lack of memory power (alway forgot the content after reading), it can be practice & upgrade your memory mind.

Memory power: actually human brain don't like to accept words or digit, we feel is anoying when we read the book(whole book/novel in time instead of comic book). Our brain much like visual & colorful thing, so to achieve how we remenber the word & digit, we will replace each words/sentence/name/digit... with visual. So exam come, the first thing appear in your mind is the visual: then follow by word/sentence.

Why we forget (name/place/tel no) after we meet some one, why we need to write it down instead of remenber it??

actually all we see, we meet, the data already store in our mind, just we don't know "where u put your data".

Brainstorm
ideas sometime come easily & go easily too.....sometime the ideas imcompleted, or maybe just a sign.
so from the imcompleted idea or sign (mark it as headline, centercore), from there u can link the issue/ problem..indirect or direct to your center core....like web spider or tree. (of cos u need to write it down, unless u got powerful memory). After that, finish the exploration, evaluate your brainstorm plan, & try to develope ideas...link together. Brainstorm can be a person or a group of ppl, the more ppl, the more exploration & the more result.

Well, I understand the visual aspect of memory and I rely on it in my work of art, perhaps its true that we are more susceptible to image since it is what dream made of rather than words or language. I practice thinking in English until it became a habit and made myself competent in it though no bombastic vocabulary, you can try it too so you don't have to apologize being poor in it.

Brainstorming with a group of half bake yield nothing and the decision is always made by the senior or responsible for it, youngsters who came from better financial support tends to have too much ego in the brain and the older one eat salt more than we eat rice. Not many people willing to subject themselves to test their own brain power that could shame them and stop improving, as long as they are comfortable living a life, they think they know enough and are doing the right thing until the winds of change struck and they panic.

It is scary and unpleasant to found ourselves being stupid, will say the wrong thing and agitate to comments. As such, talking about the brain to grown ups isn't really going to get any where. 

I watched a few documentary about all the subject being discussed here, seems all are from after watching Astro. Since Astro keep repeating, no more new topic here, so much for thinking outside the box.

When I was younger, I could not understand how one can think from outside if never been out of the well. It simply mean to think from other's perspective but one need to know and experience more things to be able to do that, otherwise assume from age factor or shallow mentality. I don't tell people to think outside the box because it is the same as asking stupid chicken or egg question, I laughed the first time someone ask me that question nearly 20 years ago, a fool tries to act smart but people still asking today.

A lot of people don't understand what they know, knowing is not understanding and echo the words everywhere as if they understand. This is dangerous, scam / strayed religion / propaganda / new cult ride on this defect. We don't control which side of the brain to perform as desire like you don't try to balance a bicycle after you can ride one, your mind can think of other things even hallucinate in daydream.

Does it make us smarter to know which side of the brain is for what? Do we need to know the purpose of being human to live a life? Why ask more questions that don't matter or don't have answer? If we are not in the position / qualify to investigate and provide credible answer, discussing in the box won't produce anything.

Then, IMHO, you are still thinking inside your "box".

The "BOX" is the sum of all your knowledge and experience.

To THINK outside of the BOX is to see and know THINGS that you DO NOT KNOW.  To see what is invisible to you...

So, do you know what you DO NOT KNOW aka your BOX??  If you don't, you DO NOT KNOW whether you are thinking inside or outside the box to begin with.

So, what you DO NOT KNOW about this subject??

P.S.: A medical story that I read somewhere.  A person that never like spicy food had a liver transplant from a person that like spicy food.  After the liver transplant, he start liking spicy food.  Coincidence?? Does LIVER has a brain / memory / intelligence that carry with it?? I do not know.

As far as I can tell, I DO NOT KNOW anything about this subject.  I do not know how brain, mind, and etc works..  And, that is the EXTEND of my knowledge of this subject.  I know that I DO NOT KNOW.

I cannot brain your question "let's say now,we dont know how to make telescope,and we want to how does universe look like?", "let's build something that can fly us to the moon." Why go to the moon to see how universe look like? 

Learning new things is not thinking outside the box, a student in school is in the box prior to the real world, until you begin to fend for yourself, you know nothing about working, so you can only say you know about occupation but you cannot say you understand, thinking is to analyze the problem and concoct possible solutions from various factors.

Just because you can practice masturbation does not mean you are good in sexual intercourse, why? Wait until you got married lah, cannot rush mah. Think outside like fantasize is not the same as touching the real person.
Why I become an artist? Because I like to draw and failed all subjects except English & Art. So no choice loh but what does that has to to with the box? Do you know what is talent? Why is it a gift?

Include what possibilities? Your question don't make sense, it is because you are not using your ability to forge proper communication, I have been young before but you cannot say you've been old before, so I am talking to you from a bigger box and there are many sizes.

If you feel agitated and echo what was said to you means you are reacting from your emotion because you can't differentiate knowing & understanding. In simpler term; Someone say f u and you reply the same, does it answer your question? The SHORT ANSWER is I do not know whether you think OUTSIDE your box.  How big is YOUR BOX??

For example, there are MANY WAYS to THINK?? And, you may only use one way.  Until you are using a different way to think, you are still in the BOX.

If you are REALLY INTERESTED in this subject area, read everything written by Roger Schank.  He had spent 30+ years studying learning, thinking, and intelligence.. In the process, he founded the institute of learning science..

For what I read so far from Roger Schank, the BEST telling sign of whether you are THINKING outside of BOX is whether you are willing to LOOK STUPID.

For example, so far, nobody has asked VERY STUPID QUESTIONS.
