QUOTE(alexander3133 @ Feb 25 2011, 11:18 PM) I would like to share too... interesting....a million thx This is perhaps (almost) realtime stock watch excel file, data obtain from Yahoo Finance. Instructions: For Excel 2003 or earlier users, download LYN_Realtime_Stock_2003.pdf and rename to LYN_Realtime_Stock_2003.xls For Excel 2007 or 2010 users, download LYN_Realtime_Stock_07_10.pdf and rename to LYN_Realtime_Stock_07_10.xlsm Note: This is an excel file which contain macro, basically used to obtain stock information from Yahoo Finance server. No worry, it contains NO malicious code that will harm your computer. Once you successfully open the excel file, excel will normally block the active content, which is the macro. Excel will prompt you to enable or not. You must enable the active content for the macro to run properly. Once you enable it, you can start using and edit the excel file. The yellow area is for you to enter your favourite stock code, the stock code must have ".KL" added behind the stock code, as shown in the spreadsheet. The grey are is the last trade price for the stock you specified, the price will update automatically if you have "AutoRefresh" checked. Otherwise, you can manually refresh the price by pressing Ctrl + Alt + F5. Note: Column A to column E are active columns, meaning the macro will get or modify information on those columns. You can modify your own column starting from column F onwards. You can select any information you want to get from Yahoo Finance server from the drop down list at row 6 starting from column B to column E. Play with the excel file and you able to discover more! Any doubts, feel free to ask me. Screenshot: ![]() |
