I want to know during pregnancy, how many test was recommended by your doctor ?

my wife is 26 weeks now, so far only done one blood test and urine test for every visit.

if u go to govt KKIA, they will do blood test and urine test during every visit.
at my private gynae clinic, they did urine test only, but not as detailed as govt KKIA.

Maybe u need to check with your doctor. Perhaps they are not doing so much test cos your wife is in the low risk category.

At KKIA i used to hv pretty good amount of blood sucked out each time due to my low blood count

If you want to check for any heredity diseases, you should do before trying for baby. However, you can still do now.

Another test will be for checking if the baby has down syndrome.

Additional test is upon request. You have to ask your doctor. Talk to the doctor what are your concerns.
