If you want to buy SGS i suggest you wait till SGS 2 out 1st
then SGS price sure will plunge

If you are a person who are impatient for software updates then there's only 2 brands to consider: Google and HTC
When froyo was first launched, obviously google phones get the updates first then a month later HTC phones got updated
It is only after 1 good year SGS got its froyo update while other brands are still stuck at 2.1 some even at 2.0... until now
so you can see it as google and htc are gay partners... if there's any new updates/glitch/bugs its this 2 brands will get updated and fixed the fastest

xperia arc is impressive... aesthetically only that is. Specs wise i felt it's kinda lagging especially when dual cores and 3D phones are launching at the same time.
