I want to get this phone... Was wondering the same thing... But I know many people know the Samsung Galaxy S (SGS) GPS problem...
Its stated on SGS thread that phones manufactured after October 2010 for SGS have no GPS problem...........

So, I think its safe to assume that you won't face GPS issues..... About comparing to the Nokia 5800XM, I have no idea...........

2 GB mem card, Micro SD to SD converter, charger, USB data cable, and erm..... headphones.....
As for battery life, i dunno..... Right now... I'm calibrating it with erm..... the battery calibration guide form the Galaxy S thread...
EDIT: Came with free pouch....
Total RM 950 cash.....

My first android..... Its really very good even though this phone no flash.........

As I did not bargain and hunt for cheaper price, I accepted it at 950.....
But rmb that some of the shops may sell at 1.2K....... TELL THEM I SEEN THE RECOMMENDED PRICE ONLINE FOR THIS PHONE IS 900...... I said 9xx... cos I faham the shop also need profit lar....... xD

Added on February 27, 2011, 3:49 pmAnother problem is you may not be able to get the black colour of the phone..... Do not worry front is black, back is white.... ... But the guy say when battery covers come, can change lor the back cover.... This phone so new the shop guys said came out a week ago and the black colour all habis....

+ no screen protector sold yet... I really need 1........
