Yes, its already available with the original warranty by SME (Samsung Malaysia Electronics). Some from the Garage Sales section are selling it at the moment, in fact there's a price war here already.

From what I can summarise, the differences are:

-Screen size and color display ability (3.5 inch 16million colors on Galaxy Ace compared to 3.2 inch 262k colors on Optimus One)

-Camera (5MP on GA compared to 3MP on O1)

-RAM (278MB on GA compared to 512MB on O1)

-Battery (1350mAH on GA compared to 1500mAH on O1)

-Wifi (WiFi b/g/n on GA compared to b/g only on O1)

-Processor (800Mhz Qualcomm MSM7227-1 Turbo on GA compared to 600Mhz Qualcomm MSM7227 on O1)

Reviews aren't going to help much, you actually need to see it first hand for yourself to properly decide.

Like me last time, I read reviews constantly on three phones, the DHD, DZ and SGS. Read them repeatedly for a month and still can't decide, its until I actually get to hold and try them out that I finally make my decision.

Well, try the Milestone, its a FWVGA (480x854) android with only 256MB RAM.

I can say although it has even less RAM than the Ace, it runs quite fine. Only thing is heavy multitasking is obviously not recommended.

I think that one's a beta one by Samsung, since PhoneArena previewed a prototype unit. We might never have that one.

He meant ROM not RAM.

RAM is 278MB, ROM is 158MB.

The Ace only specifies 187MB of available ROM to the user, not the total size ROM, as for that we don't know either.

That's because Samsung themselves didn't specify it in the first place.

We only know the available ROM thanks to users, not total ROM.

Its a stock ROM's score, so there might be bloatware and stuff slowing things down, not to mention custom ROMs getting the advantage of overclocked CPU, zipaligned partitions, and many other optimizations.

Now I think of it, that Optimus 3D (that dual core 3d phone) getting 2.8k on stock really is crazy.

The samsung sync software is in the CD included in the box, I don't think anything much is in the card other than some sample songs and pictures.
