Survival edi. Special edi is smaller in size right? Saw it selling at 225. The whole package looks small.

Bro. Which region? R1 is survival edition. No postcard and no ds3 skin. Only bigger art book.

R3 is special edition. Gt the above but with mini art book.

There is no r3 survival edition and vice versa.

Getting both. Got 2 R3 on hand now. But still looking for P.Pandemic.

I think the publishers / developer didnt anticipate such a strong demand or got such good reviews. What I spoke to retailers here was for the Asia edition :

1. SG total country only 40 pcs.
2. MY you need to buy at least 300 pcs of normal steelbook before entitled to 1 CE.

Sony Asia could have make a killing if they were to produce more but sadly the opportunity is gone for them and now only those retailers who keep and sell at exorbitant prices will gain from it. Then again they probably just recover back if they lose out from UC3 or KZ3.

The hype will only get more once the sequel comes out, together with whatever rights they want to spill over like movies, books, etc. Quite easy to tell when you have mainstream sites such as MTV, Forbes, and US national television talking about it.

This will make this editions even more valuable later. Coz once more people wants something to be a part of it, they will be willing to pay for the value. Sadly though this didnt apply for KZ3 or UC3 since both their CEs can be got for half the price or less now. Only chance for it to increase its value back again if either a movie comes out to rave reviews.

I have to say at times we gamers chase CE until we forgot what was the purpose we buy game. To play or to display. The road to perfection is never ending. So basically, it is a death march.

I am going to enjoy the game with friend. A friend just invited me over to watch him play the story mode. The audience will be me, his wife and a couple of friends. Expect us to b!thc about everything he plays while he runs for his life That my friend, is call The Last of Us - Enjoyment Edition.

The story mode is long. After 7 hours, I'm @ ch19/29...
I doubt anyone will be happy to sit at a couch that long...

Btw, for those who collect the Last of Us CE with the statue, there is difference between the R1 (refer as Post Pandemic Edition) & R3 (refer as Collector's Edition)

So what's the difference. Well, everything inside R1 is available in the R3 Collector's Edition. In fact R3 also got extra stuff including :

2. Full size Hardcover Artbook
3. DS3 Controller Skin
4. Limited Edition Postcard Set

Also those who preordered get an umbrella and a t-shirt.

So actually Asian buyers got a better CE set. The WTF thing is there's just a handful going around!

Btw, the artbook that is included in the R3 version is the actual artbook on sale for USD 39.99 so you can get that and feel like you're part of a collector if you missed that out. Those who buy the R1 Survival Edition is said to include that so we'll have to wait and see from those who ordered from Amazon. Surprisingly R1 Post Pandemic Edition does not include any artbook at all. Talk about irony.

Well r1 CE being hawked around eBay for at least usd300. Didn't see anyone selling Asia set yet.
