hi guys, this maybe out of topic abit but i ordered to tomb raider collector edition from amazon.uk with standard international delivery but with no tracking option. the eta is 23th of march but till today i haven receive it, i contact amazon and they offer me refund option or ask me to wait for few more days to see how the situation goes. anyone experienced the same situation before?

if the item detained by custom how long will it take for clearance? i have no receive any custom notice or whatsoever. hemm, i need advice.

Mine estimated date on 25th of March but my item arrived earlier than expected.

If the item is detained by custom normally receive a custom notice. Since there is no tracking number if I were you I would ask them for a refund or resent another one(if you really want it).

Thanks for replying, maybe next time i should choose delivery with tracking option, however amazon did promise to refund or replace me another CE if they got stocks for it.

Guess i gotta buy it locally, i still hope i will receive it in coming week, so i think i will wait for few more days before i choose to claim refund. Hope custom wont be so strict and make clearance faster.

If you are lucky you might received it and get your refund as well. I heard a few that manage to get that

usually i will file a complaint and ask them replace a new 1 and ask for compensation such as fast delivery

Since everyone starting to buy from Amazon here are a few tips :

1. Cheapest postage usually means no tracking but they will still give you estimate arrival. You can start complaining if the package haven't arrive about 1 month pass the estimated time. Bear in mind it can take very long like up to 3-4 months for some.
- Example, I bought the AC 3 CE guide but took around 4-5 months to reach me (usually its about a month). Made a complain and they refunded me shipping fee and told me if have not arrive they will refund in full. Turns out it came about 2 weeks after that.

2. Even express postage can be delay a few days because of Custom. My Bioshock Infinite had to go through Customs 4 times and was delay by a day but my Skylanders Giants had immediate clearance so go figure.

3. As per Skypie post, normally only those fulfilled by Amazon can be shipped internationally while 3rd party sellers (using Amazon website) cannot ship internationally because sometimes they are the ones who pack and ship (not Amazon). Having said that I had bought from 3rd party seller before and have no issue (they come in different boxes though).

4. Import deposit is applicable mainly to games (so far not books) and the rough figure is anything above RM 600 (after conversion and incl shipping) will require Amazon to ask you put in a deposit. Purchase at own risk.

Other than above, here's hoping they reduce their initial shipping rate of USD 35 for first package (or at least allow standard post instead of priority ones).

Terry, do you choose to use "This is a Gift" option? CE game boxes are big. How does the "Gift" option work? You experience before?

Never tried gift option before though I remember i accidentally chose it once. Didn't notice any difference but I think they just don't put the details on the box that's all and allow u to out other messages (maybe with extra charge )

Is the import deposit refundable Terry?

I dont know but I believe it is. I trust Amazon to fulfil the returns (they very fast credit after they told me they refunding me for shipping of a non-delivery / late item).

And so far even though I don't know any sellers, I feel their customer service are damn good. Always humble, apologetic and want to solve the problem (can read via e-mail). So don't worry about them refunding. Just be concern how the customs in Malaysia treat your goods especially if a high amount.

The normal gift option doesn't have any different in term of packaging. The only different as below.

1. they won't include invoice by default (can request to put also)
2. on the courier delivery note, it's stated as gift.
