QUOTE(ace_halo @ Feb 7 2012, 05:24 AM) can i know this product how to use?now my laptop receiving wifi line very week~ The Tyco is using U.FL connector which is 99.9% compatible with WiFi/Bluetooth card for netbook or notebook. Weak WiFi signal can be due to crappy antenna, WiFi card or missing antenna (some manufacturer install only 2 antennas on a 3x3 card).

QUOTE(natzakaria @ Feb 7 2012, 10:14 AM) If use wifisky antenna how far is the range outdoor? The supplier stated the WiFiSky coverage is 4~6KM radius. In practice, these is highly subjective to your router/mode/client ability to supply the power to the antenna. In the worst case, replacing your generic antenna with a high gain antenna will make sure your setup bottleneck is not the antenna anymore.

Need to add brakets? 1102 = 2x2 MIMO (max 300mbps) 1103 = 3x3 MIMO (max 450mbps) What is the model of the default MSI-GT780DX-215US wireless card in your laptop?

QUOTE(MX510 @ Apr 30 2012, 03:47 PM) Yeah how many DBM is the transmit power ? Bigfoot Networks only release specification on the current draw but not on the power draw :- Power (3.3V Supply) Power Save Mode - 65 mA (max) Receive Mode - 450 mA (max) Transmit Mode - 750 mA (max) So if you know how to apply the formula, you can calculate it :- ~ Click here for dBm at Wikipedia ~

QUOTE(Reizz @ Apr 30 2012, 06:44 PM) Well if your default wireless card is a Intel card, I am pretty sure that you do not need additional bracket for the Killer Wireless-N as all Intel wireless cards for 6 series chipset comes in mini PCI-e half-height form format so your laptop is either designed to use half-height card or already comes with the necessary bracket installed.

QUOTE(Reizz @ Apr 30 2012, 07:59 PM) i read the internet that shows my laptop only have 2 antenna... and upgrading it will lose my bluetooth functionality.. and my bluetooth hotkey button... i duno what to do now.. lol The Killer 1103 need the 3rd antenna in order to obtain a 450mbps throughput. If you do not wish to install a 3rd antenna, you can opt for the 1102 instead which is still by far better than any cards Intel can offer. You are right on the losing bluetooth functionality, but a gaming laptop should not wired the bluetooth hotkey to the wireless card in the 1st place as this will burden the wireless card. For instance a Intel 1030 card will downgrade to 150mbps from 300mbps once the bluetooth is turn on as the card will need to 'release' 1 antenna for the bluetooth hence unable to operate in a 2x2 MIMO mode. Not to mention a busier wireless chipset will only introduce higher ping rate. Lastly, a micro bluetooth USB dongle will only cost less than RM$20 on the market so it's up to you to decide whether you want high performance or functionality.
