i'm thinking of tiling part of my kitchen myself..the area is not that large...
hurm...do anyone here have done DIY Tling at thier house??what do i need to do first?as i know..if the cement is shiny..then need to make some grooves..for the tiles to stick...or use tile glue to make it stick..
spare the headache, get a contractor to quote the workmanship, for my case usually rm2-3/sq foot.hurm...do anyone here have done DIY Tling at thier house??what do i need to do first?as i know..if the cement is shiny..then need to make some grooves..for the tiles to stick...or use tile glue to make it stick..
measure the kitchen area, buy the tiles yourself seller might ask if u need skirting, etc, they will add further.
(i bought at jln ipoh, much cheaper from the selayang white horse factory. U can go to selayang factory to get some ideas/design from the display, but take down the tile codes that u r interested, and buy elsewhere cheaper)
u also need to buy the "susu" to soak the tiles first, apart from tiles cement.
for kitchen area choose the less shiny to prevent slippage, shud water/liquid splashes onto tiles.
