Hi,
got a price quotation for tiles installation for my kitchen backsplash. is the price OK/expensive/cheap for this tiles size?

area= 26feet
price=RM3,800
tiles dimension=76mm x 302mm
work=remove existing tiles and lay new one.

Good question. That depends on a a few criterias,
- your house location, high rise or low rise?
- your total amount of work, is this the only work they will carry out at your place?
- tiles included?

Did anybody purchased tiles from this company called Sin Lian Hap? Any bad experience dealing with them?

Found this company from homedec yesterday and they're having deals for Niro tiles. RM899 for 56pcs of 2x2 Niro(it's approx RM16 per pcs) & RM6.90 for 1x2 tiles. SA claimed these are all grade 1 tiles. Wonder are these a good deal to take for Niro tiles hmm.gif

After visiting almost all tiles companies available and checking out their stocks and quality, which include Niro, Feruni, Super ceramic, JubinBMS, Guocera etc, there is plenty of differences even within Grade A/1 tiles. Niro and Feruni looks the most impressive but price is quite prohibitive especially when looking at their premium products.
Fortunately by luck, i stumbled upon another brand of tiles when i bought my sanitary ware in Klang. The brand is called Guangdong Hongyu ceramic tiles. The color, quality, thickness is at least Niro's level or even better but with a much more affordable price tag. Go check it out. The shop is called LTL corp. I bought my Grohe and American standard sanitary wares from them and now, all my tiles for my current house reno. The lady boss is very accommodative and friendly.

hi sifu, plan to renovate my toilet and change all the floor tiles.
any tiles recommend for toilet use? not slippery. any brand is reasonably priced/cheap? dont want the premium brand.

toilet 1 - 125cm x 220cm
toilet 2 - 135cm x 204cm

Location : damansara/pj/kl.

What will be the acceptable manpower price for toilet this size?
also any good contractor to recommend?

I've seen Niro, Feruni & Guocera has these kinda wood porcelain tiles. Perhaps you can drop by places like Super Tiles@Damansara & Niro Granite HQ@Shah Alam for your tiles hunting.

when i ask the SA, all their answer is, sure , sure, depends on customer .. =_= there's not 1 answer like "here, this is toilet tiles, please choose options form here" =_=
it seems anything can be apply on anywhere =_=

I personally think that all types of tiles are fine to use in toilet, it's just majority house owner prefer to use tiles with better slip resistance as toilet flooring for better safety assurance.
But I may be wrong. tongue.gif

Any idea roughly how much for doing the wall-floor tiles (the tiny one in between wall and floor) around the house?

There are many tile that looks like the wood with surface texture just like wood grain. Surface no slippery at all.

My office use China one I think. Since the traffic to toilet is heavy, after a year or so the print image has faded.

It should be cheaper than usual wet works which require hacking, there are wooden skirting about 13 to 20 per 8ft length dep on height
Eg https://m.semua.com.my/index.php?ws=showpro...cB#openproducts
Just glue on using construction adhesive and need a circular saw to cut the 45 angle at corners.

If tiles wise u will get the tile lines also.. stick on with sika tile adhesive and need a tile cutter to do the 45 angle at corner e.g https://shopee.com.my/JCT-1600W-4-MARBLE-CU...6666.3855631711

Contractor effort wise its a pretty simple job but seems not all wanna take small job at this moment.

DIY is easy I believe like ceo684 suggested.

However, I think this cutter is easier to cut straight line. Although you probably used it once, it is cheaper than paying the contractor labor cost laugh.gif

Planning to go Super Ceramic @ Jln Ipoh, KL to get some tiles for house.

Thinking of 2'x1' Kimgres tiles (for bathrooms)

For 2'x2' tiles (for living room floor) do you guys have any suggestion? budget around RM10

Thanks, much appreciated
