Hi all, help needed. Any tiles supplier can supply the below tiles code in loose form, I've tried to find out around Kajang, Puchong & even Nilai but they don't sell in loose.
GIP01LP 1x2 - 3pcs
GIP03 Matt 2x2 - 1pc
RM3611 1x2 - 6pcs
DCR3661ON 1x2 - 4pcs
H63630 1x2 - 2pcs
105 Terrazo - 15pcs.
Thanks in advance.

Guys, can help me take a look at the price?
From the general replies here I get the feeling that tiling incl everything should be around RM8~9/sqft, yes? I counted my quotation and is around RM11.40/sqft.
Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.
To supply labour to demolish existing floor tile at wet kitchen and dry kitchen. Total 171 sqft. RM420

Rm420 / 171 sq ft = Rm2.46 per sq ft

To supply & install 1'x2' floor tiles at wet kitchen and dry kitchen. Total 171 sqft. (tile price<RM2.50/sqft) RM1540

Tile = Rm2.50 per sq ft * 2 = Rm5.00 per sq ft * 171 sq ft = Rm855.00)
Labour + supply = Rm1540.00 - (Rm5.00 * 171 = Rm855.00) = Rm685.00 / 171 = Rm4.00 per sq ft

Quote per sq ft = Rm5.00 + Rm4.00 = Rm9.00 hmm.gif

Are you sure it is only floor???..again, if you are just changing the floor tiles and only doing water proofing for floor area, you are likely to have leakage issue..waterproofing at least better to do for 5 feet wall height..

If seeing from your 28sqft floor size, i assume your bathroom size will be 7ft lgth x 4 ft width x 9 ft wall height..

Total area wall + floor will be approx 226 sqft. My contractor charge me RM7/sqft to hack off,to screed, waterproofing and to relay tiles up to 5 ft height per my request..balance 4 ft wall height is calculated at RM5/sqft to hack off,to screed and to relay tiles..tiles excluded

So if 226 sqft=RM7 x 226 = RM1582..I would say this is quite close and more logic..for waterproofing material(sika top) it will cost another RM 115~120

In my case, I actually count to actual sq ft..to minus the door area of 18sqft and even the casement window another 8sqft

Hi guys, I was quoted around RM2300 to redo water proofing (3 layers) for 1 bathroom floor. Bathroom size is roughly 5-6ft (width) x 9-10ft (length). Wall tiles are left untouched. Floor tiles are NOT included. If need to include, additional RM350. Is this reasonable or I'm his water fish?

removing parquet i guess bout RM1.1-1.5 per sq.
lay cement and lay tiles with susu (include cement and susu and workmanship) bout RM5.5 per sq.
so RM12 is over.

how big the area first.

i asked an indon contractor once and he said the following are possible;

- not enough of the 'gum' applied when installing.
- wrong % combinatoin of cement and sand.
- the 'slab' (concrete foundation) is not properly done so when certain parts of the slab sinks, it pops out.
- the 'slab' also needs to be done once, properly dried then only apply a second layer of cement for the tiles to stick to. A lot of short-cut guys does this in one step instead of two steps.

i've also heard of cases in apartments where because the air-cond below is on all the time, then the unit above gets pop-ping tiles due to heat / cold differentiation.

Hi I think this is quite reasonable. Still need to look at the workmanship, if very rough then not worth it cos it will cost u even more next time if u wan to change it or any pop up of ur tiles

May I know when u install the tiles? How many years already? The mrt project may be one of the reason , if not mistake ur tiles is 2x2 tiles if the floor is not flat enough or didn't do sand Screeding last time when u install the tiles, this problems will occur especially the Mrt work ard ur area.

Unlikely becos of moisture
