help me to decide wether to go for samsung i9003 or samsung galaxy s GT i9000.what r the pro n cons?thank you
*
Samsung Galaxy S i9000 has a Super AMOLED display which is somewhat superior to the SuperClearLCD on Samsung Galaxy SL i9003.
Samsung Galaxy S at the same time has a slightly higher amount of RAM of 512mb compared to Samsung Galaxy SL having 478mb. Well, not much a differnce here.
Galaxy S have a better Graphics Processor : SGX540 instead of SGX530 on the Galaxy SL.

Galaxy SL is said to be manufactured to fight the shortage of AMOLED panels and reduce the production cost as the price of Galaxy S can't dive any further.

Personal prefernce, I would prefer the Samsung Galaxy S over the Galaxy SL.

At the same time, did you check out Samsung Galaxy S2 which have been confirmed by a forumer that it will be brought in by SME by end of June and he's selling at RM2099. It packs a Dual-Core processor and a superior imaging sensor of 8mpx with Flash. The screen is larger as well and the OS is much newer. Plus, it even supports FullHD video recording. Not to mention the doubled amount of RAM available. Hope this helps. smile.gif

2. Budget = below 800

4. Type/Size = Any

Nokia but below 800 I'm not too sure what you can get. N86 have got 8mpx Carl Zeiss but might not be available anymore.
I'm not too sure what to recommend really. Check Nokia or Sony Ericsson devices I think. smile.gif

Ya. You can download application to install it in Nokia C5-03. If possible, can try out Android with the SE X8.

Despite that it is a known fact that the Android has more application in terms of quantity than Symbian OS, but it does not mean that their quality is good as well.
LG Optimus 2X or Samsung Galaxy S II?
*
I wouldn't suggest LG Optimus 2X. There're some part where it just isn't that fluid. Even HTC DHD seems to be having a smoother UI at times.

Between Atrix and SGS 2, SGS 2 seems like a better choice. Personal preference really. smile.gif

E6 would be a good choice.. but the price might be high too .. =( and I heard E72 got some problems like hanging quite often.. but not sure about e71

another reason I choose E71 is because of it capability to video call and solid build.. =) just not sure about its performance..
*
Performance wise, it's not bad. A very reliable phone with a good build quality and classy material.
Don't expect anything mind-blowing though. It's running on Symbian S60v3 without FP2.
Proc is ARM11 clocked at only 369mhz with 128mb of RAM. Well, as I have said don't expect anything mind-blowing but it definitely is a pretty decent phone both on outlook and reliability. smile.gif

At the same time, why not wait for E6 to arrived on our shore before you purchase. It has been reported that both E6 and X7 have started been shipped. Expect it to arrive in a couple of weeks I guess. smile.gif
You might be lucky if E6 is within your budget or maybe E72 falls at a great extent that makes it a much better buy compared to E71. smile.gif

Hi there,
i was been using Nokia 5730 for the past two years, love the phone with Keypad and numpad.
my 5730 has worn off, and it is abit expensive to repair it, so i am thinking to buying a new phone.
main purpose is for SMS and Phone call.

I have a DHD as my secondary phone, just i still need to maintain my primary number for SMS and Phone call.

I am looking for a phone that have both Keypad and Numpad.

And one function if can, is easy to backup sms or export to my HTC DHD. (my 5730 however failed on this, so wasn't thinking to get 5730 again. )

Just saw HTC S740, but it has obsoleted.  sad.gif

Budget less then 500.
thanks.
*
Transfer of SMS is not something common. Only when you perform backup and restore to devices using similar backup file format, can you transfer I believe. SMS is something pretty sensitive. Imagine if everyone can copy SMS to different devices as they like and there's a sensitive message and so it got transferred to multiple people. At the same time, the form factor you're looking for is quite uncommon. If you're looking into Nokia, E75 perhaps?

Thank you for ur review bro. =)

Anyway I know its nothing much to expect from E71 since its quite old and the spec is quite low. Been through the E71 forum and most of them satisfy with the phone comparing to E72 which have much complain on their phone. That is one of the reason stopping me getting a E72..

Anyway do you know the expected price of E6?
*
E71 seems to be more reliable over E72. That's one thing you would realise following both the threads.
I'm not sure about the price. You may go to one of the outlets listed HERE as Pre-Order has started for E6. smile.gif
Or you may call this and ask them for the Recommended Retail Price.

Anyway i think will wait for the E6 to come to our shore before I decide.. Usually the price are high when they just in.. >.<
Actually I'm looking for a phone with video call capability and to be pair with tablet.. ^^

You're speaking of Blackberry Playbook feature here biggrin.gif

anyway if take blackberry I need to apply for BIS as well.. which mean extra cost.. haha =)

Internet tethering will work with any device though till now, I have always failed tethering internet from Nokia using Joikuspot to Samsung's Android device.
Monthly fees for some mighty cool features like BBM. biggrin.gif

brand doesn't matter for me, what matter is the product itself...
i always get myself laughing seeing people wearing those plain tshirt which cost them for 50 each while i can get that for 5 only ... ops out of topic

well, because infuse 4G is special FOR a foreign telco called AT&T...if we can get oso can get AP ones only...

sgs2 rumored to be launched around mid/end of june?? RRP like 2099...
but dunno wad sgs 2 spec we will get, theres lot of diff version..like non-exynos[snapdragon], exynos etc.
the best 1 of coz is to get the Exynos + Super AMOLED Plus  thumbup.gif
*
I think people prefer Tegra 2 cause if Tegra 2, they can have access to Tegra Zone. biggrin.gif
Exynos is not the prefered choice. Let's wait and see which one we got. biggrin.gif

I was wondering whether you guys could show me the pros and cons of these 2 models? Really not sure which one should I choose haha  laugh.gif
Or are there any other equivalent smartphones out there?
Many thanks  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

I would choose SE Arc over HTC variants for a girl. Well, design wise at least. SE Arc seems more desirable for a girl I think. smile.gif

brand:BB or Nokia
budget:not more than 2400
specs:at least 5mp camera,wifi,preferably full qwerty etc
type:candybar or slide only....no clamshell or swivel...

actually i've been eyeing BB torch 4 quite a while but then i heard bout Nokia E6 and now im torn between the two phones.i've also been told that even if we buy BB phone from a telco by retail price which is rm2188,we still need to pay for the BIS thingy?...is it like a monthly commitment?.....on the other hand if i wait for Nokia E6,(bear in mind that im living in sarawak)im afraid the waiting is too long.... hmm.gif ..... unsure.gif ....... icon_question.gif ......
*
BB need to signup for monthly plan lor. smile.gif
Personal preference maybe I might prefer BB but BB is way more expensive than Nokia E6 presumably you're speaking of Torch.
E6 should be within 2k mark but by getting BB plan, you can get subsidies from telco.

E6 is based on Symbian OS, and Symbian is hitting its end of life soon. The choice is really up to you. smile.gif
What is your main usage by the way?

my main usage is usually more to texting, social networking, emailing, music listening....

Yes, which makes it pointless to buy without a plan. Better get the subsidies.
I would choose BB for whatever reason I don't know. BB is in another class compared to Nokia E6. icon_rolleyes.gif

Budget: less than RM 2k
Specs: only 2 things im concern: must have GOOD gps, must be able to play hd games without lag (such as gameloft games), camera doesn't matter
Type: prefer with keypad as I dislike sms with touch screen

There aren't many Keypad Android around. You might want to look at HTC Desire Z. But it's not what you would expect of today's top technology.

these are my specs:

1. Nokia E72

If you guys can suggest any other types of hps that is similar or better to the Nokia E72, that'll be great.

only recommended is HTC Desire Z

Desire Z out of production too. whistling.gif
Or T-Mobile G2. I read somewhere that production stopped for that phone already.
This is Dual-Core era already. Desire Z is way under-powered. If you want to have good flash capabilities, you need some serious power under the hood. flex.gif flex.gif
