Thanks for your info!! Have you ever tried tracking the item via Pos Malaysia website? Does it ever get updated?
Which tracking reference you are referring to? Royal Mail or Pos Laju? If Royal Mail, no chance..if its Pos Laju reference, yes..

yes... they won't update after that...
if u want to be able to track parcel, you have to use Pos laju. Poslaju can track all the way until receiver in UK received the parcel

The tracking numbers can only be track the when parcel is still in Malaysia. Once it is out of Malaysia , u cannot track anymore.
The tracking numbers will be change when it arrive UK..

Has anyone tried to send a registered parcel via International Signed For with Airmail delivery (UK's Royal Mail)? Usually how long would it take for a parcel to arrive in Malaysia?
I bought something on Ebay UK. The seller first told me he has sent the item, and given me a tracking number on Royal Mail. But it's never updated on Royal Mail website after a few days, and when i made a complain, the seller contacted Royal Mail and was told that the parcel has gone missing.
So, the seller sent another parcel, and this time the Royal Mail website stated that "Your item, posted on 04/02/11 with reference XXX has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in MALAYSIA."
I tried to track the item on Pos Malaysia website (PosDaftar), but there's the usual "Your Reference Number does not exist". Then I read from some Internet sources that many parcels that go into Malaysia are often mysteriously gone(??)...
I read from somewhere that registered mail could reach Malaysia in a week time, but I've waited much longer than it. Should I wait longer, or you think the item is MIA again? Has anyone had similar experience sending anything from UK?
Strawberry!,
I hope you have read TS's question above and not blindly putting in your answer for a sake of answering. He's questioning whether the item he bought from eBay UK will be able to be tracked from UK --> MYS. And the answer is yes, as long as the item is still on transition. You will get a message something like " Your item has been delivered to destination country "XXX" for delivery."
I have frequently used Royal Mail for my blu-ray items sent from East Ham.
@sblsbl, you gotta really be patience when items are sent from Europe. They tend to take time to arrive, it should be less than 16 working days. Since the weekend was off and your parcel might just be here for clearance. The tracking number given by Royal Mail are meant for tracking while its in transition from Europe. And you will not be able to track them once it reaches MYS.
As i said, you gotta give it sometime before the customs clear your item for delivery process. So , fingers crossed!

Bro, do you have the Royalmail tracking number?
If yes, then you should call Pos Malaysia LCCT for new local tracking number.
It will not be delivered by Pos Laju. Pos Malaysia will take their own sweet time to deliver. Too bad, its Economical parcel we are talking about
QUOTE(sblsbl @ Feb 20 2011, 12:04 PM)
really regret not using express service... but the seller did not offer such delivery.....
thanks for being helpful! you're so kind!

Priority International Mail will cost you bit higher than Economical parcel. Always be wise in choosing the cheapest rate. About delivery time , it does not matter, you do not want to spend more when you can get it cheaper elsewhere but since eBay has some items for reasonable price, use the budgeted delivery.
