There is no problem or wrong using a phone for 3 years though, I used my Sony W850i for 3 years already by this coming April. I'm targeting this SGS2 when it comes out and will buy it once the price get stable.

Back to the release date, if SG launch on April I think we can get it on Malaysia by May- early June, still whole lot of months to wait. I would expect a price of RM2599 or RM2699..kinda steep though after waited for so long..

Yeah I agree it is quite blur what is the source of AP devices.
But they normally won't tell you clearly as this is their source of income also.

They should really decrease the price by the time of launch.

Watching those MWC 2011's announced phones are slowly releasing, like Atrix and Incredible S.
SGS2 still haven't got an exact release date, we still don't know when exactly can we buy it.
Other phones might already have a price drop when this thing come out

Judge from the case in India, I think the reason why Samsung is dragging this phone for so damn long is the shortage of Super AMMOLED Plus and their own Exynos processor, feels like they are so reluctant to use Tegra 2, big ego.

IF the issue is real I guess it might be the Exynos GPU, as Tegra 2 in Atrix has no issue so far?

Nexus S is overprice here, SG is selling about RM19xx RRP only if not mistaken. Normally add another RM300 is Malaysia's price, but look at our price, how much markup? Obviously the blood sucker wants to suck more blood.

I'm praying that SGS2 will NOT has exclusivity to Maxis, if it really does I will just wait for another month for Digi or AP, since I've already waited so long.
Although I'm currently a Maxis user now but still, unless they alter their plan or else I think I will not buy it on day one.

Yes, they should make some improvements over the original specs to make the long waiting time worthwhile for consumers.

There are two asterisks (*)on the list, one is for the processor, another for the screen.
The * for processor means some region will get Tegra 2 while some will get Exynos.
Another * for the screen means the actual measurement is 4.27" rather than 4.3".
It doesn't mean it will get SLCD people, stop the SLCD obsession lol.

Btw, the removal of RAM specification might indicate some changes to the RAM.
Hopefully they don't downgrade it.

About the press release of Samsung UK, I'm still unclear about is it only the Exynos processor is clocked at 1.2Ghz?

Actually I don't think most of us here care about the 4 hubs, because it probably won't work so well here.
TouchWiz 4.0 is better than 3.0 much, I like the widgets, hope it don't cause too much lag though.

The advantage of getting the SGS2 later than other countries in Malaysia is we can get to read reviews from people who have already bought the SGS.
Perhaps the accessories will be out along with the release, so can get the device protected from day 1.

We'll need a back cover that will absorb shock for good, or else with the thinnest back cover the SGS won't survive a fall.

Go ahead and buy SGS2 if you like it despite the TouchWiz UI, because you can change it later to whatever you like.
