My goodness, so tempted to join in the bulk order. Main concern for me right now is warranty. I'd really hate it if I had to post the phone back to UK and then wait for them to post it back to me.

Gosh, looks slightly disappointing. Not as responsive as expected, it seems.

I think it's only the home screen with all the useless widgets that lags (as in almost every Android phone).

I bet most people here will install alternative home launchers or use the widely-praised Darky's ROM that will be ported from SGS. The main attraction is the hardware, the software can be fixed. smile.gif

It's not just the homescreen.

At 2:53, the guy tries to change the resolution of the camcorder recording. Took like 3 taps before the menu came up.

Added on February 24, 2011, 1:17 pmAnyhow, this looks like a repeat of the original SGS: awesome specs on paper. sad.gif

I wonder, if independent developers can fix it, why can't Samsung?

why the hell cant samsung realize the problem???

Mother f%^&*(, I am not paying 2.5k for a fukng lag phone that needs lag fix. this is a joke. Does the workers in samsung use lagfix as well??

LOL. thumbup.gif

Anyway, I'm also feeling April or May. A March launch seems too optimistic.

the spec might be too good but the phone wont be as smooth as it should be due to android problem
i tried the sample at mwc and really laggy

Oh no.

Looks like it's confirmed, Samsung didn't learn anything from the Galaxy. sad.gif

Why can't they just ship the phone with vanilla Android, FFS.

nope, I'll keep the atrix...  Atrix might not has as high spec as SGS II (camera, screen) but it works super smooth and I'm more than happy with it.. summore the developers seems keen in getting the bootloader unlock  thumbup.gif

but i might buy SGS II just to have quad core in my pockets. j/k !! tongue.gif

Glad to hear that. So Motoblur isn't as crippling as I expected it to be?

Also, how's the performance of the phone's camera?

Chewww.

I see the official thread I thought the phone is here already.

Mana tau nothing, not even release date.

TS don't so overzealous to start official thread if the phone not available yet lar. tongue.gif

I believe the purpose of an Official thread is for people to congregate in one thread, so there won't be dozens of similar topics.

The Nokia N8 had seven or eight official threads before the phone even released.

Let's see.

11 posts since my post yesterday. And 4 or 5 of those posts are in direct or indirect response to my post. Not exactly fast moving, yes? And the remaining posts are mostly about the same things - when is it available and to which telco.

True, having a place to congregate is nice, but it's not as if we are getting a few dozen posts each day for this phone, and it's not as if this official thread contains any concrete answer for the most common questions being asked.

But yes, we all want hype. smile.gif
