Allow me to add...just hope to persuade those intended to give up...

1) Bluetooth 3.0
2) MHL connector
3) Mali-400
4) 116g & 8.49mm
5) Samsung Hubs
6) 8mp Cam doing 1080p + 2mp front Cam
7) NFC (this SHALL be the killer for user experience!!)

For all the above, we pay a premium...of course, some of us might not want those SERIOUS biz experience like Exchange, VPN, Encryption, Cisco & MDM, but the price is inclusive-loh!!! :-()

1) bluetooth 2.1 also hardly supported 3.0??? by the time 3.0 is really supported, this phone is no match to other new phones.
3) We have yet to see the real performance and pitting it against sgx545 (forgot the name of the graphics lol, but its on ipad2).
5) Looks like rubbish, i pray its not.
6) Our 2mp camera better be able to do direct video call, or its just a pretty mirror.
7) This, is the bomb........ dunu how many years later mayb...,mayb only malaysia will support, highest chances also its the malaysian google quarters.
*
Good answer there!

1) It is just like the digital camera. Any photo shop will tell us that a decent 3mp is all that we need to get a good 4R picture.
Resolution for a 4R photo at 300dpi is only 2.16mp... but the mega pixel business keeps shooting up...hehehe

3) How true, we are buying "hype" here, right? :-)

5) Must give chance and lets continue to hope & pray mah...

6) 4.3" is a very good size mirror for combing hair or applying lip stick bah... :-p

7) If we read NFC ala NFC Bridging the Gap, then we would imagine everything Google.
Do check out The NFC Innovators, and we would see how wide
this technology is going to impact our life soon. 10 years ago, if you tell people about cards, many would say "Playing Cards"?
Today, we have SIM cards in our phone, we have credit/debit cards in our wallet, we have T'nG cards in our car+wallet, we
ID cards from government, school, offices...etc, we have loyalty cards from BonusLink, Tesco...etc, we have membership cards
from the clubs that we join; card is literally infiltrated our life!

NFC seeks to enhance the availability of cards and many more in our life. icon_rolleyes.gif

the NFC still not in malaysia...still fresh thing... sweat.gif

NFC was initiated as early as Dec 2005 in Malaysia by MasterCard.
A French-based NFC Times recorded only the trial by Visa with Maxis & Maybank in Apr 2006 .

Upon the trial of 50 by MasterCard & 200 by Visa,
it was launched in Apr 2009 with 3,000 phones being issued.

But THAT 3,000 units of Nokia 6212 was not really something to shout about, hence not much publicity anywhere.
But it is still continue to roll-out...today, with your Nexus S, you can ask Maybank to issue you your NFC-credential
for use in LRT, buses, paying in Kenny Rogers or the likes that have contactless payment acceptance device.

One thing also, you can now programme your NFC phone like SGS2 (or even Nexus S) to be your student card
or office card that allowing you entry to the premises or even log on to your computer network. whistling.gif

Hope the above enlightened a bit. rclxub.gif

Hehehe...we all can pray, can't we?
Now, this is the KILLER that appears on Maybank's website on this NFC launch...
After reading it, you will know WHAT killed the initiative - Maxis, Maybank or Visa?

well, i'll tell samsung if they can UP the screen resolution to qHd as well as that 1.2 ghz processor,

bring it here hurry with Rm 3k pricetag

*
Okie...I am NO guru in screen resolution... cool2.gif

But this is what my buddy gurus explained to me, and hopefully I understood them correctly!

Firstly, do know SGS II has Super AMOLED +, at 800x480 in 4.3"...

next, what is qHD?? 960x540?
(keeping in mind that fruity phone's 960x640 - even "higher" in 3.5")

Now here is the secret, Super AMOLED + use pentile tech patented by Samsung.
conventional pixel has 8 sub-pixels, pentile tech has 12 sub-pixels.

Now, lets do the math... thumbup.gif

qHD : 960 (x8 sub-pixels) x 540 (x8 sub-pixels) = 7,680 x 4,320 sub-pixels
fruit phone : 960 (x8 sub-pixels) x 640 (x8 sub-pixels) = 7,680 x 5,120 sub-pixels

Our beloved SGS II : 800 (x12 sub-pixels) x 480 (x12 sub-pixels) = 9,600 x 5,760 sub-pixels

Of course, qHD in 4.3" is too pixelated compared to fruity in 3.5"
but SGS II in 4.3" is more than enough to squeeze the juice of the fruit lah.

Kindly, and yes, kindly allow Samsung the benefit of doubt that it holds many patents related
for screen...they sell TVs too, ya? rolleyes.gif

AGAIN....I am no guru...please do not believe in what I say here! whistling.gif sweat.gif

As far as I know Super AMOLED+ use RGB tech, different than Super AMOLED's pentile.
*
You are RIGHT. After reading your reply, I sent an email to those who taught me.
I was thrashed, "Gosh...as bad as your memory could not serve you fully right,
common sense would have reminded you that PenTile hinted 5 sub-pixels, no?"

Yup, there was a move back from RGBG matrix to RGB, but further developed
it from 8 sub-pixels to 12 sub-pixels.

Thanks... notworthy.gif rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

Apple has no case-lah...just a publicity stunt to run down on Samsung fans
and gives bullets to those Apple fans.

1) Majority of the smart phone now is candy bar-shaped. (but must read patent details!)
2) User-interface is Android...go complain to Google! TouchWiz is no where same as iOS.

No case lah... icon_idea.gif
